Appleseed Barrhaven/ Westend

First off, the owner of this property is a senior, over 80 years. Read my review and please someone in this company try to explain how you justify this!
This company says "Our shovelers go out only once per snowfall and only at the end when the snow has completely stopped. " Well, how do you explain this: Your company cleaned our driveway early Mon, Feb 13, 2017. But then it snowed the whole of Tue Feb 14 and Feb 15, 2017. As I write it is Feb 16, early morning. THE DRIVEWAY IS STILL NOT cleaned yet, 3 DAYS of snowing!!! I get it it's been busy for you with relentless snowing. Anyone can understand delayed work. BUT 3 DAYS?!! Check your records in case you think it's hyperbole! I didn't bring my car up the driveway last night for fear of being stuck and I contemplated taking it to a paid garage, a gas station! I waited till after 11:00 PM in the night but of course, you never showed. My car is at a neighbors whose snow removers actually did their job.

Exactly what would you advise me to do in this situation? Pretend everything is fine? How about this senior person who doesn't have the energy to write a review like this? What would you like to advise him?

It is your credibility on the line! Super disappointing!!!!! And yes, this is one of my very first bad review ever. Not that I don't get disappointed by service but I rarely get this infuriated!

Appleseed failed to clear the left side of my driveway after each snowfall this winter. I complained 3 times, spread over more than a week, before receiving a response. When I called back I was put on hold for more than an hour. When I finally talked to customer service rep, she argued that even though my contract is for a double width driveway Appleseed was not obligated to clear double width. I told her I sent a photo showing the problem. She claimed not to have received it. I told her when I sent it, and she looked at it and finally admitted that there was a problem.

She said she informed the area manager of this and hoped that the driver would clear the left side for me. The next snowfall the driver skipped my driveway completely.

When I signed up for the service, I asked if the service will be provided that weekend since I knew the snow storm was coming. The agent had promised the service that weekend. I called several times from Saturday morning til Sunday evening, left my number address several times as your staff asked and we were promised to get a call back to get it cleaned every time we called. These guys kept taking the information and kept promising a call back for a snow removal, I never received any calls.

I asked them several questions such as, when can I expect a call, wait time, if it'd be cleaned by the end of Sunday night or no, any guarantees, who to call directly, etc. The staff (I think Megan, if I remember it right) said she's not even part of the company, she is just there to answer calls and she doesn't know any of these answers. On top of that, the manager (or whoever Megan forwarded me to) said she can't help me when i insisted on answering my questions. Those were all valid questions customers ask to any customer service representative when they had paid for a service and didn't receive it. Not sure why they have these customer service representatives there if they can't provide the customers with simple information, they're clearly not doing the job or not capable of doing the job. Either their staff is very poorly trained or you don't have proper procedure in place.

Finally, I never got any service and begged them to cancel my contract. Even for that to reach them was another 10 calls/emails.

Horrible service, please don't waste your money, time and energy on this (no) service provider!

After having had bad service from other snow removal companies, I contracted with Appleseed Barrhaven at the beginning of the 2015-2016 winter season. The company gave reliable driveway clearing service, even though the truck backs and in pulls out a few times to do just the minimum and still leaves plenty of snow up against the garage door. This year, I contracted both driveway and laneway snow clearing. The driveway work is about the same as before - done when needed, even if sloppily. The laneway clearing has been terrible. Every single time it was needed, the laneway was cleared very late in the day or not at all. Repeated phone call go to a call service and have not been answered. Be warned.

Although the snow stopped last night my Aunt and Uncle wheelchair ramp and walkways have remained uncleared as of 11 am this morning. Yes we called and advised they needed to go out via paratrasit to a doctors appt this morning and have not even received a call back......

Signed as a new customer this year with Appleseed based on the number of signs around the neighborhood. After complete failures over 2 snow events this Nov and Dec with my wife waiting 12 plus hours for service ( not until after 6 pm) i would rather lose some money and go to a different provider than continue to pay this horrible company. Extremely poor customer service and they will not respond to repeated phone calls. In fact their answering service automatically hangs up on you. run away and save your money. Go anywhere else but here.

Never any problems ...great service year after year after year!
Communication is great with bulletins and clearings are timely.
We've used Appleseed at 2 different homes over the last few years with great service at both, they are consistent. We like that in a provider.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. My husband had scheduled hospitals appointments and I needed to ensure our driveways were cleared first thing in the morning on those dates.

After several calls, speaking to many people and they agreed to have our driveway a priority on those dates. NOTHING!!! After several emails to the manager, not one of them was returned. No care for our needs!

I would not recommend this company. Our driveway was cleared at the evening times. Unacceptable to say the least!

You guys are awesome, 51 cms of snow and your team was all over it. Your drivers got here several times inspite of the city not doing our roads at all and cleaned my lane thoroughly, they even cleared the road in front so we could get into the laneway without having to blast through what the city hadn't cleared.
I highly recomend your service to everyone.

After our first huge snow storm of the year I turned onto my street (Barrhaven area) to seeing my driveway in the process of being plowed already! I did not expect this until later in the evening..I ended up behind someone who was stuck on my street and I was only a few feet from home..After he finished plowing my driveway he backed up and cleared a path for me to make it home! I can not say enough how grateful I was and my appreciation for him to go above and beyond on a night where he must have had plenty of hours left of work to do
