60K window job that went wrong on my new dream home build for my family.
Windows installed without flashing or mastic causing massive water leakage and interior damage. Alex and vinylbilt insisted it was the roof then caulking but it was just poor installation. Holmes approved crew removed and reinstalled and not a drop of water since. Was never caulking or roof. Properly installed, they didn't even need caulking and didn't leak a drop with a pressure washer at 3000 psi (water test)
Black painted doors are purple
Hardware missing or broken or not installed
What bothers me the most is not that they wouldnt fix the issues but that they made it seem like they would fix as a favor and not because they were truly at fault..always "steve, you're a great client so I'll fix it but it's the caulkers fault or the roofers fault". Always someone else's fault.
Windows leaning in already on an angle, bet that's someone else's fault.
My friend had the same issues on his new home build. Wonder who's fault it was...
I'll take this down when my purple doors are changed with black ones and all the problems are fixed. Or maybe the purple doors are someone else's fault.
