Penguin Basements

When we were expecting our second child we decided that our basement needed to get finished so that the kids could have their own space. We found an ad for Penguin Basements and saw that the financing option was attractive so we gave them a call and made an appointment with Guy where we agreed to get the basement finished before our daughter was born.

Guy was good at keeping us informed (and he apologized when he couldn't). Both he and Harold (Project manager) were knowledgeable and courteous, The teams they sent to work here were great as well. They made sure to clean up after themselves every day. I never had an issue with a mess anywhere. They also sent cleaners after the project was completed.

As with all renovations there are always hiccups. For instance we experienced a delay with financing and as a result the project didn't get finished until my daughter was a couple months old. There was also an instance where the painters didn't show up etc. However, when we brought these issues to Guy and Harold they were fixed right away.

Over all we are very happy with our space. The vinyl flooring looks gorgeous and stands up to anything my preschooler does to it and its well lit and warm.

For many years we have been searching for the right company to help with this project. After meeting with Guy it was clear that Penguin Basements was the right choice.
The team really listened to what our vision for a space where our kids could hang out and be creative. We are so excited and pleased with the final results it is definitely an amazing space that we very excited to use. Guy and his team definitely delivered on all that was promised, the team headed up by Roberto was very conscious, clean and took care of every detail. Like most renovations there are always things that come up but a solution was always presented and more importantly Roberto was able to meet end of project deadline.
We where also very fortunate to be able to have penguin basements also install new windows and doors for our house. Again very great team came in and in the coarse of the day complete the install and you would not have even known that work was being done.

Since our basement was going to be used as a play area for our young children, we were very particular about what products would be used in our basement. The team at Penguin Basements was excellent about alleviating all of our concerns and helped us select the right materials to make our basement warm, well lit, and safe for our babies. The construction crew was especially incredible. Their workmanship was excellent and they took great care and pride in their work and ensured that there was no damage to our home. They were always considerate of our family needs and worked hard to ensure that the project was completed on time. And now, our babies are having a wonderful time playing in their new play zone. That’s enough proof to us that we selected the right company for this project.

We loved our basement my children have their own space to hang out after school .What i really liked are behind the walls .Penguin uses good quality products our basement it`s warmer that main level plus the contraction Guys (Walter and Sebastian) are very hard workers .Thank you PENGUIN!

My parents initially had a private contractor perform a basement renovation which resulted in poor quality of work being done and it did not resolve the problem of having cold draft. They were recommended to speak to Penguin Basements. Penguin Basements provided great insulated and waterproofing. They were extremely knowledgeable and professional. Overall, my parents were pleased to have their basement useable throughout the year after having Penguin Basements assist them.

After many winters the damage in my basement was becoming horrendous. We hired Penguin Basements to finish our basement this year. The whole process with these guys was different from the rest. From when their designer came over to meet us, he gave us a quote while he was over! None of the other guys did that.

Penguin offered us financing, which we signed up with, so we didn’t have to go out of pocket for the whole renovation! They executed the basement finishing flawlessly, and we are so happy have the extra space!

Penguin Basements renovated our basement which took about 6 weeks. It was very clean, they kept everything very neat, very professional. We felt confident in their work. We really liked the crew they sent us, they were very professional, efficient and honest. Overall I’m very pleased and would recommend them to our friends and family!
