Penguin Basements

I can speak to the product as working as advertised.
The winter season was very cold and long. I was performing a basement renovation over the winter and had the opportunity to discover all the foundation drafts, and concrete, insulation/waterproofing faults in my home. Penguin Basements' panels provided a much more warmly insulated and waterproof basement than I would have otherwise experienced with the same financial investment. Their service was helpful and accommodating to my needs. I had an excellent experience with Penguin Basements service and products.

We choose to go with penguin basements because of the way everything is broken up, so that everyone does what they specialize in. There was a plumber who did all the plumbing, contractors who put up drywall, electrician who worked on all the electrical work. There was even a guy who just worked on the carpet. My wife and I were really impressed with this and preferred it over some other finished basement companies that have contractors do everything and some stuff that might not be their strength.

Me and my family would recommend Penguin Basement to anyone on any budget. They are very flexible and work with you to get the basement you dreamed of. My family was very impressed by the work done in the basement washroom, the stand shower was done very well. Our home theatre also turned out great and was exactly how we imagined it would be.

On behalf of my family and I, we would like to say "thank you" for the superb job your company did to complete our basement. After almost one full year and having now had the opportunity to show case the basement to family, friends and neighbours, the response is overwhelming and they have even expressed the desire to use your services and materials to get their basement completed.

Due to the long winter that we experienced, I can confidently say that the "magnesium" material has lived up to it's reputation in helping to reduce my hydro bill. We are looking forward to enjoying the cooler nights during the summer (thus not having to turn on our air conditioning). The basement is pleasant and a beauty to look at and we are very thankful that we used the services of Penguin Basements.

Penguin basements finished our basement in November 2013. They came in right on budget and they finished one day faster than they said they would. The staff we dealt with were all very professional and approachable. We would highly recommend Penguin to anyone looking to finish their basement.

I was very pleased with the level of care and professionalism I experienced throughout the job. I am a very paranoid person by nature and every time I had a question or concern, the team was always very helpful. The job turned out great, and the attention to detail was very noticeable in the final product.

They renovated the basement, it took about 3 weeks. It was very clean, they kept everything very neat, very professional. I felt confident in the work they were doing. I called them about a few things I was uncertain about (in terms of deliveries etc.) and they always provided me with an answer and delivered when they said they would. Overall I’m very pleased and would work with them again in the future. I have already recommended them to a number of people.

They did the entire basement; set up the walls, did the floor, bathroom, living room, bedroom, lighting and electrical. We have been very happy with the work, it was done just as promised, time wise and there were almost no unexpected problems. They did the work they said they would. They are very professional, knew what we needed, worked with our budget.

I was not impressed with the work that was done. They renovated almost the whole basement. I’ve had a few issues with the quality of work, the walls are not straight, the doors do not work too well, and it took a long time to complete the work. They had told me it would be two weeks, some modifications needed to be made so I had expected it to take longer than that, but in the end it took over two months to be completed.
