Abc Appliance Repairs

I have a house in Mississauga, which I currently rent out. The tenants were having some issues with the oven not getting up to the proper temperature when baking. I am usually in US for the summer, so I needed to find a reliable appliance repair service that was efficient and could handle everything by phone. Being out of town makes it much harder to coordinate repairs for a tenant. I went online and searched for Appliance Repair. I came up with a few options, but ABC Appliance Repair was close to my neighborhood and when I called, Vlad answered all of my questions right away. He was very professional and helpful and told me that he would call me - and my tenant - the day of the appointment. My only negative is that it took a week to get an appointment from the time I called. But I guess good businesses get busy, so I didn't mind the wait. Vlad called the day before to confirm my appointment, as well as calling me and my tenant 30 mins before arrival on the day of the appointment. He was able to diagnose the problem (replace the bake igniter on oven) within 20 mins and then called to give me the status and cost estimate. I was able to pay by credit card over the phone and received a receipt by email within 30 mins. Overall process was simple, efficient, on time and (I felt) reasonably priced. Cost me $125 to have this replaced with part and labor. Thank you Vlad for a job well done.

Vlad called me back right away and scheduled my dishwasher repair, he was on time, professional and obviously knowledgeable. Dishwasher needed the housing cleaned out from soap residue/build up from dishwasher tablets. He suggested ways to keep it running better from now on. Charged me minimum service fee. Then he asked if I had anything else he should look at while he was here.
Well, as a matter of fact, the washing machine is making this noise... Unbelievably it actually made same noise right away so he could hear what I meant. After about 15 minutes he took time to show me exactly what the noise is and why (while not urgent) this is a much bigger repair. He gave me some ideas of how I may be able to have the manufacturer replace the parts and assured me that it's fine for now, but keep an eye on this "patient". Again, as below, no pressure to make big repairs and advice is very common sense and helpful, call ABC Appliance repair for a low cost upfront service.

After troubleshooting our washing machine was flashing an error code which we couldn't fix ourselves. We called ABC and Vlad came out the next day to help us out. He was friendly, considerate, knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing as he did it. He first ran through all the diagnostic testing from the manual to see if the problem was a simple one. He didn't mind at all if I watched his work, and actually encouraged me, so I could learn about the issue. He was considerate of my floors (used a towel for any water runoff). He charged a reasonable flat fee for his time on the job (so you don't have to worry about how much labor is going to cost) and he works in a logical timely manner. He also explained all my options, let me decide and then told me what he would do if it were his machine...which actually saved me money. I will recommend him to all of my family and friends.

After reading some of the reviews online I called Vlad to fix my GE Profile refrigerator that was running too cold and my water dispenser was frozen. He came out on the same day I called which was a Sunday. Unbelievable! He had the new control board that I needed on his truck and was able to fix my refrigerator in 1 hour. My refrigerator worked well for 1 month and then started running too cold again. I called Vlad back out and he discovered another part had broken. He charged me his cost for the part only (no labor fees) since he had just been out the month before. I know of other companies that try to charge you every second they get a chance, not Vlad, he was great. I really appreciate his integrity and will definitely use him again.

We had some problems with our washer and we scheduled a different repairman a week in advance who didn't show for his Sun morning appointment. Called ABC Appliance Repair Sunday, left message and received call back that afternoon. They offered to come out the next day - Monday.
Vlad came by and it didn't take him but a few minutes to see that our 7 yr old Kenmore Elite front loader had some serious issues. He walked through the cost of the parts and labor and recommended to my husband to replace instead of repair. Even gave us advice if we wanted to see our existing washer for parts. We appreciated the prompt service, honesty and advise and will definitely use them again in the future. The other guy wanted to charge us $80 for the service call but Vlad only took $25.

ABC Appliance provides and incredible service. My Speed Queen washer machine stopped pumping out the water during the spin cycle so i decided to look for a repair company within the GTA. I found ABC on Homestars and was very pleased with the reviews i read about the company. The technician Vlad was great professional and prompt. 1st off he gave me a courtesy call 30 min before arrival. When he arrived to my house he introduced himself and was so friendly and polite. It only took him 30 min to assess the pump replace it and get the machine up and running again. I will definitely use this company with future appliance repairs. Overall this was an easy fix thank to Vlad.

I wanted to share my great experience about ABC, one day I noticed my freezer would periodically thaw and then refreeze. This means one day my ice cream would be mushy and then rock hard the next - can't have that!

I contacted Vlad at ABC Appliance Repair and he was able to fit me in quickly. He showed up right on time. He was very courteous in diagnosing the problem and explained in easy to understand terms what could possibly be happening. There were several possibilities ranging from easy fixes to more expensive. He suggested starting out with the easiest and least expensive fix first and moving on from there.

It turned out the relatively easy fix cured the issue after all! All Vlad had to do was vacuum the coils underneath the fridge with his super fancy vacuum attachments and my fridge resumed normal operations. As a first time homeowner, I did not know this was A Thing. Apparently neither did the previous homeowner, Vlad explained that in the future I could vacuum the coils with my regular vacuum as preventative maintenance, THANKS VLAD>

We recently had a problem with our dishwasher which was not cleaning as well as it had been, so I gave them a call. I had used them before to fix our dryer and they were good. But I was especially impressed today. Vlad the technician came promptly when they said he would, and had a very professional and pleasant demeanor. He assessed the situation quickly and said due to the hard water we have in the city, we had build-up in the spray arm which was why it wasn't cleaning as well. He took out the filter and spray arm and cleaned all parts thoroughly, then ran a bottle of Dishwasher Magic through a cycle.
The machine came out sparkling. These guys really know what they are doing and seem very trustworthy. He simply charged us for the cleaning and we didn’t have to pay anything extra.

I just want to leave a few good words for ABC Appliance Repair as they did an excellent job. I have an Amana 36 in bottom freezer that stopped getting cold in hte refrigerator part of the refrigerator. I opened it up and vacuumed the coils and compressor area. It still did not work. I called and spoke with Vlad. He came the same day, took a look at the fan and it started working as soon as he opened it up. He said it should be ok but if not he will return to replace the fan and put the cost of repair towards the cost of the fan. He charged $70 and explained what to look for next time and how to know if the compressor is still good. I was very pleased with his honest and upfront service.

Hello everyone I wanted to leave a review about a great service that I had with ABC Appliance Repairs, I live in the city and own a rental house in the York Region suburbs. One of the torsion springs had broken and I needed a replacement. I contacted ABC via email for an estimate. They promptly replied. Once I called to schedule, they were quite flexible in available appointment times. They arrived later than the originally scheduled appointment time but were sure to call me to let me know. The repair was completed quickly and cost exactly what they estimated.
