Tandem Construction of North Vancouver was undertaking a full renovation of our dated townhouse. They hire only the very best subcontractors as their reputations depends on perfection of the finished product.

It was no surprise to me that Tandem hired Powell Painters, also of North Vancouver, to do our painting. Being a diligent homeowner, I had independently sourced painters for the job and also came up with Powell.

We have used Powell Painting for many years now for all our painting needs. Tanja and her crew are extremely professional, trustworthy, punctual, honest and a true pleasure to work with. Although I know I will end up choosing Tanja for my painting jobs, I always get a few quotes just to make sure pricing is in line....and it always is. The quote is extremely detailed so you know exactly what your paying for. I KNOW the job will be done right with the highest quality paint and products as well as the highest quality workmanship. There are no student painters here. Tanja's crew are all master painters. And when your job is done, Tanja will come by to do a final walk through to detect any deficiencies that need addressing and to make sure everything is done to her standards, which are very high.

A few years ago, during a renovation, our contractor had hired his own painter for the job. Well, that painter bailed at the last minute. The furniture was being delivered two days later and if the painting wasn't done, we were looped. I called Tanja and the next day she sent a couple of guys over to do the job. She even cleared out all the ram board and crap that the contractor had left. She really saved us. That's just the kind of person she is.

Most recently, we had our house exterior painted. They did an absolutely fabulous job. From refinishing the wood soffits and making them look new again, to the precision of their painting, it looks amazing.

I live in an older building and hired Powell Painting to paint the kitchen and bathrooms. The bathroom was especially impressive because they transformed the walls from a dark red to a zen green. Very happy with the professionalism of the team. The results were amazing!

They were quick to come out for a quote and get it back to me, and were able to accommodate my tight schedule to get it done within the week I'd decided to go ahead! The work was not only in the kitchen, but a storage room, back hallway, and guest powder room as well; this entailed painting cabinets, walls, ceilings, and all trim (including doors).Their careful preparation in protecting the floors and counters and sealing off the kitchen (and other rooms) to prevent sanding dust from spreading was much appreciated. Our kitchen cabinets had been stained a dark rosewood and we decided to have them painted white, so this took several coats. The cabinet doors were removed but painted on site (with rollers rather than being sprayed). Tanja and her team did a great job. They started and finished on schedule, kept to the agreed budget, worked hard, and were very considerate of our need to access the stove and fridge. When a problem arose, Tanja went out of her way to resolve the issue. We also appreciated her attention to detail. We are extremely pleased with the result and have no hesitation in recommending Powell Painting.

Tanja gave me a quote based on the square footage of the condo right after my first call, and made an appointment to meet me on site the next day.

In order to meet my tight schedule, her team members (Enid and Craig) started the work on Dec.27 when most people were still enjoying the holidays. Tanja was respectful, straight forward and stayed true to her quote.
