Element Fence

I read the other reviews before posting and though we had a few hiccups to get to the final product, VERY happy with the service and FULLY recommend these guys, Daniel came out right away after asking him to come look and get a quote, which we were VERY happy with. We had gotten quotes from five other companies, all who didn't have the look of fence we wanted (we wanted it to mimic local fences nearby) and they wanted more than double the cost. Unfortunately, with the Easter holiday and very bad rain storms, the initial install date got pushed back a little over a week. Not a problem at all for us, as this was a project we put off for over 10 years and weren't in a hurry, plus, we knew it was going to get done and we had total faith in Daniel and his crew; and they delivered. Even with another huge storm and being short staffed, Daniel came to install what he could himself; and kudos to him, he got a lot done for being on his own (removing the old chain link fence and posts and installing the new posts and gate and a few panels. He even worked as much as he could in torrential rain. After leaving, Daniel called me later to follow up to suggest when the rest of the panels are installed, to stagger the height, so that it had a descending look as you move from back to front; I wasn't sure what he meant and told him to do what he thought was best; glad I did.
It looks amazing this way and would have looked weird to have it all flush at the top given the drop in grade on the ground. What didn't get done by Daniel, his crew was back before 9am the next day to finish the job in a short period of time. With quality work and a popular/busy business, delays are bound to happen. Don't get upset about it and wait to see the end product. You'll save yourself stress and with these guys, money! I've already recommended them to two friends and will do so anytime anyone asks! I ordered a big project with Daniel from Element Fence. I paid 16K of a 30K project so parts could be ordered. I even had a feeling that this project may go sour just on the initial interactions this decided to use credit card.

Daniel sat on the money for over a month with zero correspondence. He dodged calls and emails. He kept having bogus excuses that kept coming up randomly. Supposedly he ordered the products, but when I inquired with the manufacturer there was no such order.

When I asked for my money back he charged me a processing fee!!! This bogus fee was supposedly for his time for the quote. Never mentioned at any time.

I would never recommend Daniel or Element Fence to anyone!!

Absolutely terrible service

We have an awkward setup where our house abuts a large parking lot beside an 8 story apartment building. When we moved in there was a busted up chain link fence on a small retaining wall separating our house and we wanted something to give privacy and make the yard more aesthetically appealing.

We solicited quotes from a number of fence and landscape companies listed on Homestars, but many of them balked at the awkward job saying either they didn't know how to do it or it wasn't worth their time. The one quote we were able to get put the job at $12K!

I contacted Element Fence and Andrew came out right away and made the whole thing seem like no big deal. I kept asking if he was sure because everyone else made it seem impossible and he said "we do this kind of thing all the time!". Then the quote came in and seemed quite reasonable in comparison.

Everything about working with them was easy, which has not been the case with so many of our other experiences with contractors and skilled trades. They were so adaptable, and managed to do the entire job in just two days, no delays. And worked around my large vegetable garden which ran alongside the fence without damaging any plants, as well as going with the flow when we had eaves repair happening in the same space at the same time. And the fence looks great! 10/10 would recommend!

We had our flat roof re-done in the summer and decided to have the fence done as part of the project as the existing fence was quite old and shabby looking.
It was difficult to find companies willing to quote on the job, but Element Fence was, and we felt they really understood what we were looking for.
Due to the size of the fence posts there was some custom metal work needed for the "shoes" that the posts were mounted in, and that caused a bit of delay.
Ultimately the work was done before the winter weather kicked in, and it looks great and I know it's so much safer than what was there before.
My only issue was that Element could have kept us better informed of their schedule - otherwise, they were great to work with.

Element Fence recently completed a 45' residential chain link fence for me. The communication with Josiah during and after the estimation process was excellent - it was a relatively small project but I never got the sense that it was not worth their time as I had experienced with at least one other contractor on HomeStars. The crew installed the fence to spec and cleaned up nicely afterwards. Great job and I can't think of any negatives. I would definitely get in touch with them again should I have another fencing project in mind.

The fence replacement team worked efficiently and cleanly taking care not to disturb existing gardens using gas powered augers to dig new fence post holes. They used 6x6 posts as recommended by estimating team. Back half of fence was on a grade which they addressed with no issues. Joe was meticulous and we appreciated the great workmanship.

Once accepted they arrived 1 week later
They brought all fencing and tools gave updates on how things were going
They worked efficiently and cleanly a team of 3-4 people
Removed all old fencing at the end of the job.

As mentioned, scheduling delay due to major wind storm. Daniel and Josiah were a pleasure to deal with. Crew, including Steve and Joe were courteous and very skilled dealing with elevation issues. We're very pleased with quality of workmanship and cleanup afterwards. We would highly recommend!
