Sean who provided these services was exceptionally patient in answering all of my questions and in teaching me, a seriously technologically challenged person, how to program and operate the new thermostat. He is a perfectionist. When I was seemingly well prepared to live with a very slight tilt of the new thermostat on the wall, he insisted on working on it to satisfy his perfectionist standards with very pleasing result. While he was actually working on the heat pump and checking out the unit in general, he was entirely willing to teach me about it's workings as if teaching was the love of his life. He also insisted on cleaning up afterwards despite my offer to do so. I would never hesitate to recommend Optimal Air Solutions Inc. Apart from getting an excellent job done, I learnt a lot.

My wife and I had an extremely positive experience with Optimal Air Solutions Inc. I would certainly use them again and I can certainly recommend them to get the job done big or small. If you own a condo you should be calling these guys. They know what they're doing and they are very professional. I used Homestars.com to request a contractor and Optimal Air Inc was quick to respond. In fact they were extremely communicative and responsive which is amazing because there were other contractors that I spoke with that were horrible to deal with... let's just say they didn't inspire any confidence in me to get the job done... I quickly setup a time for them to come over (they were very flexible with scheduling), and they provided a curtesy email to remind me of the scheduled appointment the day before. A very nice touch. When their technician came over he was on time and prompt. Another nice touch was that he put on some cloth coverings over his boots so that they didn't dirty or scratch the floors. It was very professional and spoke to a higher level of care & service that I had not seen with another company I had been using up to this point. The technician really took the time to diagnose my heat pump issues and discussed the different options they could provide. He was clear, well spoken, and very professional and diligently explained the differences between my options. I really feel this significantly helped my wife and I comfortably make a decision. Furthermore, something you should know about Optimal Air Inc... the owner Sean Patterson teaches the course on fixing systems at Centennial College. If you're looking for a company that fixes heat pumps/furnaces etc... you may as well hire the guys that teach the course on how to do it. I couldn't recommend these guys more.

Optimal Air provided a great professional service in the maintenance of the central air/heating unit in my condo. The filter needed to be replaced and the whole system to be cleaned. They didn't give a window of 4 hours of when they would come. They told me exactly when they would be here and they were right on time. When my heating stopped working in the freezing cold Toronto winter, they came the very next day to figure out the problem and replace the broken part. I am very impressed with the level of service and would definitely recommend this company.

Sean was very professional, always being fast to reply to messages and any questions I had. He also took great care while removing the old heat pump and installing the new one.

Early last year my condo heat pump failed. I called around to get some quotes on getting the machine replaced or repaired. Most companies quoted me only for repair, but Sean offered to come and do an inspection of the heat pump. He explained to me exactly what was wrong with my heat pump and gave me quotes for both replacement and repair but advised replacement explaining that it would likely fail again if repaired. I was glad that he explained that to me and I opted for replacement.

Sean showed me the blockage and corrected the issue. My furnace was up and running efficiently in no time, heating my house back to a warmer temperature. This was not my first call to Optimal. I have an older furnace and my igniter failed a few months before. Sean went out to buy the part and was back in an hour and got my furnace running again. Rates are very reasonable, technical expertise and diagnostics are amazing. With my older furnace, I'm sure I'll be needing further service and will not hesitate in using Optimal Air Solutions again.
