Simon and his team were great to work with! From our initial consult Simon took the time to answer all our questions and was accommodating with our little ones schedule. Mathew did an amazing job on our new floors! He was punctual, meticulous and we couldnt be happier with our new flooring!

I hired SB hardwood flooring, and I cant say enough how great the work looks, I had dark stain on my stairs Mathew from sb hardwood did a fantastic job on bringing its natural colours back, with no dust in the house.

What can we say that hasnt already been said? We HIGHLY recommend Simon and his crew at SB Hardwood. The quote was fair and honest. The job started and finished exactly as planned. Each day started bright and early and each evening the site was tidied so we did not feel like we were living in a construction zone. What we had done:

wall to wall carpet removed from the full second floor, replaced with hardwood flooring;
carpet and landings removed from stairwell, replaced with new hardwood landings and re-stained and re-painted steps;
re-stained railings;
new pickets;
hardwood and tile flooring removed from main floor, replaced with hardwood flooring.
all new baseboards and shoe mold.
The transitions were custom made and extra detail was put into the new nosings extra details that we didnt even know could be done. Simon had wonderful suggestions throughout the process of installation [eg. darker stain on step down to living room, changing direction on flooring on step down to basement landing all making the steps visible for safety and extra classy too]. Thank-you Thank-you Thank-you!!!

SB Hardwood was simply amazing to work with. Right from the start they were honest and gave great advice on what to look for when we had to choose the hardwood. We chose Simon and team at SB hardwood for a fairly big job which included:
Refinishing part of our main floor hardwood
Replacing another area with new unstained hardwood
Refinishing our upstairs hallway, all stairs as well as new banisters and spindles around.
He and his team were on time, every day and timelines were kept perfectly and a bonus was that they were on the cheaper side of the quote we received. They worked very diligently, and cleaned up at the end of each day so my family was impacted as less as possible considering the large space that was being worked on. Simon is a very personable guy to chat with and ensures his customers are happy and well taken care of. We had to call him back for one small thing post job which for the amount of work that was done was expected. He came by very quickly to take care of it and let us know if anything else came up just to let him know.
We are completely satisfied with their work now 6+ months or so out. And I would 100% recommended SB Hardwood for any work, theyve already done work for my Mother since.

Simon and his team did a fantastic job on the stairs to our basement! They sanded the existing stair treads and painted the risers with care. They also replaced the existing wooden spiggits with modern black balusters. They also selected a stain that was a perfect match to the new wooden floor on the main floor. Having our stairs and railings refinished and wrought iron pickets and new posts installed by SB Hardwood was a very positive experience from start to finish. Szymon provided sound advice and answered all our questions. Matthew, who sanded and stained the stairs and installed everything, did an excellent job and was very detail oriented. The stain for the stairs is a perfect match to the hardwood floor. Matthew took care to clean up each night and replace the handrail and pickets. The stairs are beautiful and we will definitely recommend SB Hardwood to family and friends.
