Thomas Marzotto Architect

I have had the hardest time trying to get built what Thomas drew. I took intro to architecture to understand why. He has excessive expensive items like bench footings that aren’t required he has concrete slab on the inside of the addition. The steel posts are in excess of what is needed for a 1-storey build and he will not return my or my husband’s calls to rectify the problem. AIM engineering will not fix the issue without Tom so I have drawings that are worthless. Now I understand why he was being sued by apotex Shermans. It would have been nice if he had been honest. Instead of overbuilding a building in excess of $200,000. Every builder was stupefied at how Overkill it is

We hired Marzotto Architect to design a renovation and addition to our Toronto home. The project consisted of a total gut of the house. We listed our many needs and they followed through with wonderful work. The design did a fantastic job of maintaining the character of our home while working with some challenging site and interior conditions. The design team was very professional, patient and flexible.

Our pursuit of a designer was to make sure that we engaged someone who was ultimately creative and could translate our vision into superior aesthetics. Because w are both busy people my wife and I were looking for someone who was organised aND WHO COULD ALSO ACT AS A PROJECT MANAGER WHILE WE WERE OUT OF THE COUNTRY. Amparo had a 4-stage process that kept things on track 1.An overview and conceptual development. 2.Renderings and a workback schedule. 3. Budget evaluation and approval. 4. Execution.
The ultimate surprise...on time. and on budget. We were thrilled.
Translating form into function was achieved beyond our expectations. The assignment in both cities challenged Amparo's spacial skills in both cases she rendered functional solutions to complex issues.
Once the overall layout was achieved we then progressed through the delicate balance of
selecting the pieces and the materials, recognizing that we collaborated on everything from scratch, new bathroom , bedrooms , kitchens spa, dinning area, the whole concept.
Amparo's sketches helped convey her imaginative and creative ideas. Then came the reality of fabric selection and finishes from marble to various surfaces and textures. This collaborative process helped us enormously and provided for a pleasant and rewarding end product.
