Drain Cleaning & Old Sump Decommission
We purchased an old house within the past year and had no idea about the condition of the drains. We also had some unanswered questions about an old sump that still had water in it located in our basement. We had the Drainrock crew come out to take a look and we were very impressed. Interior storm sumps were normal procedure on older homes and we often see them in New Westminster and Vancouver. In hindsight, it didn't make a lot of sense to direct water into the basement as it usually came with humidity, odur and increased the opportunity for potential floods. Moving your sump outside and de-commissioning your old sump is now part of the plumbing code on drain tile replacements.
