Wow! Chris is a total professional. He arrives when he says he will, works quickly, and charges a fair price. He knows his stuff. I actually enjoyed watching him work because he would say aloud - for my benefit - what he was doing. My repair was for a faulty refrigerator freezer, the fridge likely 25+ years old. (Got it second hand and had it for 17 of those years.) I recommend Chris, based upon my experience. I contacted him because I read other Homestars reviews regarding him. They're accurate.

I found Chris on Homestars. He is courteous and so easy to deal with. We had a plastic button crack and break off on our dishwasher. Chris asked if the buttons are all working (which they are) and advised that it would be an expensive repair for something aesthetic. I explained my situation and he understood why I wanted the repair done. The part was on a two week back order and Chris promised to call once he received the part. Chris called me on Wednesday to let me know that the part was in and he was here on Friday to fix it. If you're looking for a great appliance repair man; definitely give Chris a call.

Our dishwasher was not draining so we called Uptown Appliance for service. Chris promptly got in touch with us and was able to come over to our home within a couple of hours. He was very courteous, knowledgeable and quickly resolved the problem. A+ service.

It was a pleasure dealing with Chris from Uptown Appliances. We contacted him when our dryer failed and he got back in touch with us right away. He asked for the relevant details of the failure on the phone and gave some free advice about self-diagnosis for venting issues. When it was clear a service visit was required, he pre-ordered all the relevant parts that might be needed so that he could diagnose and fix the issue in one go. He offered very courteous service and was extremely knowledgeable about the appliances that he works with. We wouldn't hesitate to call him again or recommend to others.

Great great great service

My ice maker stopped working and Chris came to my house within 24 hours of my phone call and came with parts on hand based on my description to him. He had it all repaired within 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend.

I contacted Chris to repair my refrigerator which suddenly stopped cooling.

He arrived at the promised time and quickly determined the problem -- a malfunctioning electronic board and a leak in the condenser line.

Chris explained that while the fridge could be repaired, but it would not be cost effective to do so. I appreciated his honesty.

I found Chris on Home stars and after reading his reviews I called. I left a message and he called back in a timely fashion. That was refreshing. We made an appointment and he arrived on time. Chris assessed the situation with the washing machine and explained it all in detail with alternative choices in detail. I then was able to make a confident decision in order to repair the machine and with his help it was the correct decision. I did call Chris again for a fridge consultation. He came over and showed me what I needed to know and explained everything as he went along. He is very polite and professional and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend Chris for all your appliance needs.

After a disappointing experience with another company I contacted Uptown Appliance. Chad returned my calls when he said he would and showed up on time (even calling 30 mins before to let me know he was on his way). I ultimately decided to purchase a new machine but Chad explained the problem and provided me with prices for replacement parts. Would definitely contact Uptown Appliance again.
