City Stairs

City stairs did the new stairs for our new home in Toronto. The service was incredible and we were very happy with our experience overall – they were extremely efficient and professional through the entire process.

City Stairs did two stairs in my home. Pricing was decent but more importantly their service was great. I called probably 5 stair companies and only a couple responded, and City Stairs has continually been very responsive. There were a few hiccups along the way, but in the end they stayed over time to do it properly.

I highly recommend. I needed to replace a very old railing on my staircase. Herzel did a fabulous job. Was so meticulous in his workmanship and neat and tidy. Just a pleasure to deal with.

We used Herzel and his team for new stairs at out]r cottage. We had used them for our modern Toronto home too and had great experience.

They measured at our place two hours north and were back on time with a fantastic stairs

We will always use them as we like modern stairs and these guys quality and workmanship is the best

I entered to a contract with them in July and after almost 4 months they did not make may stairs. they decided not to make my stairs They damaged me for over 10k for losing this period of time.
Please think twice before entering to contract and visit their work shop without making an appointment. the worst service after they received my deposit.

Installation was supposed to happen on a Friday and nobody showed up. Monday afternoon around 2:00 PM my wife (who had been waiting all day for the installers) was told they were on the way. They finally showed up at 6:00, so I arrived home from work to discover I couldn't even get into my house because the staircase was wedged in the doorway. The doorbell was destroyed in the process of bringing the stairs inside. After the installation was complete, we were very aggressively asked for money even though all transactions had already been arranged to go through our contractor. I'll give the benefit of the doubt that this was a misunderstanding, but the attitude we got certainly made it feel like a shakedown.

The product itself is great, and the only reason the review score isn't lower. Good end result, but terrible experience.

In the morning of September 24/2014 we agreed to a contract for the installation of the stairs by October the 25, 2014. It was completed behind schedule. However, it was beyond their control as I have now confirmed with the parts manufacturer.
The stairs were satisfactory. The welding on the stringer was off by about 3/8" so wood treads had to be adjusted to make them look straight and reinstalled. The paint peel off but they fixed this properly by sanding and repainting. Herzel addressed every problem we had and I am satisfied with the result. He really wants to keep customers happy and we were one of the pickiest customers.

They have very skilled workers like Mark and Richard but they do have some organization challenges. However, due to their commitment to their customers, any problems that may arise they were able to address in a satisfactory manner.
