AMJ Campbell Movers, Moving and Storage

AMJ worked with me to move my belongings from Ottawa, ON, Canada, to Vancouver, BC. I stored goods at their facility in Delta, BC, for 8 months and then had my items shipped to Woodland, CA, USA. All the individuals I worked with were professional, helpful, friendly, accommodating, prompt, and polite--in short, a pleasure to work with. I would happily rely on AMJ again and, based on my experience, wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services.

AMJ Campbell was recommended to us after we received a quote from another local company. By chance, two of our friends had used AMJ and their estimate was exactly half for the same service. Debbie, our moving consultant was very accurate in estimating the cost (in fact the final total was slightly less, a nice surprise!). While we prepared to move she was always available for questions and tips on making our move a smooth one. The moving team were prompt, polite and very professional. They took great care with our belongings and delivered everything to our new home and placed all items where we had indicated. Debbie emphasized organization, so we had labelled everything clearly. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and we will definitely recommend them to all our friends and family.

I had to move a one bedroom apartment half way across the country. AMJ movers arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently. They were friendly and very good at their job. Everything arrived a week later in perfect condition, and was unloaded quickly and efficiently.

Moved 2.5 Kilometers from a 3 storey townhouse to a 2 storey townhouse.
Movers were on time, took less time than planned for, were
polite, professional and efficient. The movers worked to make our move successful and their efforts paid off.
There was a minor issue with a piece of furniture that the company dealt with in a timely manner.

Would certainly use AMJ Campbell again and would ask for Tara Mullin and the moving crew managed by Boris. Obviously would have no hesitation in providing Tara's contact info to other people considering a move.

I am surprised to see some of the reviews here as I had a fantastic experience working with AMJ Campbell. They provided me with packing and transportation service and everything was smooth from start to finish. I had a three bedroom home and the whole process seemed overwhelming to me. The rep was very knowledgeable and patient throughout the whole experience as this was my first cross country move. I felt very comfortable and in good hands! I have already recommended AMJ Campbell to friends and my brother who will also be making a move cross country. Thank you AMJ!

I required the company to pack my contents and move me. The sales rep was very pleasant and professional. The rates were very reasonable. The packing was a flat rate of 1400 and the move the next day, was hourly. The amount I paid was a bit less than estimated, which was welcomed news. My only complaint was the box labels. They were very large and lacked a description of contents, which made unpacking a nightmare, and resulted in an 8 out of 10 for this company.

AMJ Campbell gave us outstanding service on a large move from Toronto to Mississauga. Carefully packed the crockery and crated the art work and glass top tables. The packers, craters and movers were cheerful and happy to accommodate to special requests. On time and worked hard. Highly highly recommended.

The packer, Christine, was excellent. She arrived on time for the appointment, was very organized and obviously very experienced. Christine worked well with my friend (the client) and it was a great help to have her prepare the larger items for the move.

On moving day, the AMJBC team (3 men) arrived punctually. The driver had parked the truck behind the apartment building, as pre-arranged with the Strata Council Office. Once another friend re-confired one elevator could be used for the move, the elevator keys and building keys were given to your team. Both my friend and I thought your team worked efficiently and methodically and in a timely manner. On arrival at the building, your team again worked well and quickly to deliver everything to the new apartment. We especially appreciated the team's help in reassembling the client's bed. By the time the paperwork was signed and your team left, we felt comfortable that our friend (the client) would get a good night's sleep.

I wanted a professional mover as I had lots of bad experiences in the past and hired this company based on the reviews here at 9.9/10 at the time.

The sales rep was friendly when she came out for the estimate, but not always available; I had phone and email tag the week leading up to the move. I had asked for a 9am start time, was told they would show up 830 - 9 by dispatch, but 9 - 930 from the sales rep, and they showed up at 915 on site (at the condo), but didn't phone me, but the clock had started for the hourly rate. A phone call would've been nice.

However, the 3 man crew was professional, had lots of years of experience. I was watching them, and they would not always look at my box labels (fragile, do not stack, this way up) during load and unload. I found several boxes not upright. However, nothing broke and it took a little longer than expected for a 2 bedroom condo (6 hours), but it was less stressful than how other movers did the job. After feeling confident about their care and attention to blanket wrap my fragile glass furniture and mirrors, leather dining chairs, etc., I was more relaxed during the unload.

They did not have a marked truck, which I found interesting, because this is a big company.

At $140 an hour for 3 men, 1 hour mandatory travel time, $25 admin fee, and bonus Aeroplan Miles, I was happy with the move even though it was more than I had originally wanted to spend.

Worst moving company ever!
They destroyed and damaged so much of our stuff in a move from North Bay to Calgary in September 2015. They treated our stuff like garbage. Boxes and containers marked glass and fragile meant nothing to them. They put a hole in the wall going into the basement. Very unprofessional movers.
