I most definitely would recommend Gregor Homes! Why? I found them completely honest and sincere with every aspect of the project. Quite often going the extra mile. I found every member of thei staff to be very courteous and helpful. The quality of workmanship is second to none . I was impressed with how well they looked after the equipment resulting in no breakdowns and lost time. The office staff always there to answer the phone and very helpful in keeping a smooth operation.
All in all, a very professional team. Recommend them highly.

We had started our cottage and needed help to finish. Gregor Homes was there to help us out. They did an excellent job. They went over the details of the build, how long it would take and went above and beyond to realize our dream. One of the things I appreciated the most was if the weather was bad, or their was a delay in receiving materials etc..they would always call and let us know. I also know that they are very conscious of the environment, and they left a clean work site when they were finished! Much appreciated!

Gregor Homes was negligent in that they failed to use the detailed information that we provided up front when they estimated the cost of finishing of our new home. When we expressed our concern given that we had not changed anything since they provided the estimate, they simply said they had relied on irrelevant historical information from other builds they have done rather than providing quotes on the details we provided. For instance our contract states that we would have a wood-burning fireplace with a floor to ceiling stone surround. They estimated this to cost $10,000, however when we went to their fireplace supplier , the cheapest one that was $13,000 just for the wood-burning fireplace and the chimney, the entire cost including the stone surround was in the range of $20,000 for that one item and it was not the only one. The same thing happened with our staircase that was clearly outlined in advance and yet it ended up costing $20,000 more than what they quoted. There were several items like this.

Furthermore, there are several deficiencies with their work. The town inspector identified several items that were substandard and now our roof is also leaking (just 6 months after the house was completed). The report we received from roofing company indicated that it was a failure to install adequate and appropriate venting in one area of the house. Additionally the inadequate grading caused water pooling on one side of the house and there were several other issues. They even took two kitchen cabinet doors that were meant to replace two that had originally been installed upside down. The kitchen supplier tried to make arrangements to install the new doors in our kitchen however when we followed up she told us that someone from Gregor Homes had come and taken the doors that were meant for our kitchen. So we are stuck with two upside down doors in our kitchen now.

At least two of the subcontractors were not paid by Gregor Homes as of six months after the house was build and contacted us, which could result in liens against our home. One of those contractors told us it was not the first time they had this problem with Gregor Homes. We are now engaged in a legal action with Gregor Homes over the deficiencies with the build because they refused to honour the contract which states that if there is a disagreement it goes to mediation rather than court.

I certainly would never hire them again!!!

Gregor Homes Ltd. were very professional from the engineering design right through to finishing the job. The construction team that conducted the work were extremely attentive to detail and took all precautions to keep the work space clean and prevent any damage. They were very knowledgeable and went the extra step to complete the work. I highly recommend this company to complete your home building or renovation work.

We had had great expectations for the work Greggor Fine Homes would complete for us in our new to us home, which required extensive renovations, when we began communicating with them in early summer, 2016.
We are currently hoping that Gregor Fine Homes will return to their worksite in our home to complete our bathroom reno but at this point (late October) they have provided us with no date/time for the repairing/completion of their work.
Hopefully Gregor Fine Homes will live up to their name where our home renos are concerned.

Since then, we have used Gregor's exterior landscape business, Outdoor Living Landscapes, to complete our backyard patio and front entrance stonework. Once again the job went smoothly and the work was completed with care and quality.

As homeowner, it's also refreshing to work with contractors who are nice people that you can trust, and who provide quick support after the job is completed as well. You really do get what you pay for! We recommend Gregor to everyone we know!
