We called Nick at Interior Climate Solutions to replace our aging furnace and A/C which were starting to fail. We found them through their stellar reviews on homestars and google and they completely lived up these expectations.

From the start Nick was clear and patient when walking us through our options. Another company we talked to jumped right to an equipment suggestion within a few minutes on the phone, which felt rushed considering they didn't gather much information about our house. Nick on the other hand took time to understand what we wanted to do and came up with a number of different options for us. We ultimately decided to go with a heat pump backed up by a high efficiency furnace, which would give us the environmental benefits we were after (low carbon emissions) with peace of mind for the coldest days of the year. With the government rebates for heat pumps this option would cost about the same as a straight upgrade of our existing furnace and A/C unit.

The job went as smoothly as you can hope for. As we expected from the clear communications with Nick when planning the job, he kept in constant contact in the days leading up to the job and answered all of our questions right away. Him and his team finished the job in about a day and a half, as we had planned for. They were friendly and respectful of our house all the way through, and left the basement clean when finished.

Our heat pump has been running for a week now and has been able to heat the house on its own, even when it went down to -10C one night. We're super happy with it so far and highly impressed the professional service that Nick and ICS provided. We will recommend them to all of our friends looking for HVAC work and they will definitely have more of our business in the future.

Nick has done a lot of work for us, dating back as early as 2016 right up until the present. Originally he installed our BBQ gas line back in 2016, then later he helped us when we renovated our rental property by installing 3 new ductless Air conditioners, two HRV's a new boiler. Most recently he added a gas fire pit to our backyard. Everything has been done to a high level of quality and in the rare occasion where he needed to rectify something, he was very responsive and corrected the issue without any additional expense.

Last year our furnace unexpectedly died on the coldest day of the year. After contacting our regular service company and not being able to obtain a timely replacement, a neighbour referred us to Nick at Interior Climate Solutions. He was able to quickly assess the situation and we had a new furnace installed early the next day. The service was friendly, efficient, and fairly priced. The reason for that was due to the Installer, Nick. He was highly professional, knowledgeable, and not pushy in any way. After examining the situation, he noted the condition of my AC which was the same age as my furnace and recommended a combination heat pump and furnace. I felt good about this as it was a good step towards reducing our carbon footprint and utilizing an extremely efficient system. The installation happened and it was outstanding. We had a strange situation with volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and some of them seemed to be related to CFCs/freon. Could there be a leak in our air conditioning system that was making the house unsafe?

We called Nick and his team through a referral. They showed up promptly and Nick led me through the house, explaining potential issues and fixing things as he went. It ended up that the HVAC system wasn't leaking. Along the way, I learned a ton while Nick and his team fixed some minor issues. The confidence of getting a definitive answer (and kicking the tires on our system to make sure that it was up to code) was a relief.

I'd happily hire Nick and his team any time. In fact, we've been looking at a new and different property, so there's a good chance we'll be calling him soon.

We used Interior Home Climate Solutions last year for our furnace and AC replacement. This fall our natural gas line to the BBQ has a leak. Uncertain who to call, we reached out to Nick given such a great experience last year. Nick popped by the next day and was able to quickly fix the issue and extend the gas line. Nick and his team did a wonderful job on our A/C/heat in our home.

From the get-go, his first house visit was thorough, and he talked us through every possibility with no pressure. His estimate was fair and reasonable; he thoroughly explained all the options and showed us example images, and there were no surprises.

When it came time to do the job, he was incredibly careful with his work, and respectful of our home, schedule, and pet. His and his team's work was tidy, efficient, careful, and complete. Not only that, but he went above and beyond to ensure our lives were minimally disrupted by the work (tip-toeing around during our work-from-home Zoom calls!), and leaving everything clean and in perfect working order.
