As always in the past, David came and assessed the problem at my convenience and then returned with everything needed to accomplish it with a minimum of mess. He also squeezed in several other little jobs that had popped up 10 years after a major renovation.

Just as an aside, in almost 25 years of projects, I have never known David to be anything but pleasant and upbeat on the job.

My dormer needed major repair due to a chimney removal....David did a fantastic job of putting all things back to rights...David was really nice to work with, got back to me every time i contacted him with in 24 hours, very efficient and very satisfied. I would recommend David hole heartedly. Thanks David and son, and every one that was involved.

We contracted with Strathmore Construction Ltd to replace the ceiling, repair a wall and prepare the floor for installation of new hardwood flooring in our living room/dining room.

It was our belief that when the previous owners had carried out a major renovation in 1987 they had upgraded the electrical wiring in the rest of the house to a standard still compatible with the 2020 electrical code. When the ceiling was opened up it quickly became clear that this was not the case and that the wiring was an amalgam of original knob and tube plus various additions made prior to 1987.

To make a long story short the cost of this project escalated enormously to accomplish the rewiring required by the present-day code. David of Strathmore Construction skillfully coordinated and facilitated the activities of the electricians and the flooring installers. Once priorities were set and an upper limit established for costs David and his team competently and conscientiously completed the project for the agreed upon amount.

David is a meticulous craftsman with a keen understanding of the older houses of the East York area. We are happy with the work he did for us and would recommend him and his company for renovations of this nature.

Strathmore responded quickly to help make repairs to my basement apartment. They were easy to deal with and fixed my problems.

I had opened up a wall in my house to restore previous doorways and David did an incredible job of matching the original mouldings and trim. The house is very old but he took the time to make it all level, plumb and true! They are definitely a feature now!

A couple of years later I decided to replace some old windows, and going with wood was not without it's challenges! Once again because of the age of the house and thickness of the walls, some creative solutions had to be pondered. My goal was to return to the original look of the house so I found David and Greg's experience and design opinions to be invaluable.

Fixtures in the showroom require custom fittings & removable shelving. David & his team moved & resembled these units at least 3 times in the past 20 years. I’ve NEVER had any issues with them!
