We hired Yen and team for a full excavation and stone patio install in our backyard early summer of 2020 when the pandemic had just hit us.
Yen was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with in designing the backyard. He came quickly and provided 3D renders of the backyard within a week of seeing our place. The whole quote process took roughly 1.5 weeks.
We hired his team very quickly and waited a month for the scheduled work to begin.
Unfortunately the other side of the business came to show. When the work was to begin the excavation team flagged only then that the site conditions did not accommodate the proper space for their tools nor the delivery of materials for the project.
What essentially occurred over the next week was panicked adjustment in the schedule (from a 3 day to a 3 week) and a number of failed restarts.
Though Yen refunded the deposit, unfortunately we were left with nothing else to show but an overgrown backyard, dug out holes in our lawn, and a wasted season.
Word of advice, when accepting a job PLEASE ensure that your site is inspected by your foreman to ensure that your beautifully thought out designs are actually FEASIBLE.
