A hack. Representss as a design build company - "Betna Homes", Betna Homes Inc., Betna Homes and Gavinci, Bustamante Custom Design build etc.. Claimed at the time to have an established Design build company with dedicated team of skilled professionals that provide high quality work and coudl get our job done well and in timely manner. What a joke. .what we got was Betna hiring strangers he hasnt worked with before from KIJIJI...YES KIJIJI!! What?! Betna has them wear tshirts with his busines name but they are not staff employed by the company. They didnt know him before this. Then issues arose with plumbng, shower, wall, flooring, amougn others and we realzied that unlicened work was being done. We asked to show him the issues, and in a recorded concersation he refused! When asked for the flooring person who he claims he paid but this person only did 100 sq feet of 800 sq feet and complained there was comething wrong with the flooring and casued major issues when it ended up actually onyl being 2 boards and other packs werent opened to figure out if it was the batch. And moreover the main [robelm is the floor was so unlevel and he was actually goign to install it without leveling! Caoudlve been major problems. We asked to speak with the flooring guy - Betna refused his info and contact, and claims he paid this person with our money. Paint job was abysmal, did it too early in project didnt even mud or sand spots or take off the switch plate covers! Guy claims rate of 45 hr what a joke. Then when we say if he wont review the issues, or give any info for the flooring guy that did no work basically, yet he claimed he paid him. It gets worse - Betna then decides to send us an inoivce and charges us almost a 4000K cancellation fee and KEPT ALL OUR MONEY AND DID NOT complete hardly any of the work much less properly and shower plumbgin had to be redong. The contract said nothing about any such fee.

SHame on this person for taking ALL OUR FUNDS UPFRONT, MISAPROPRIATING OUR MONEY AND THEN HAVIGN THE AUDACITY TO UNFAIRLY CHARGE 25%.

complaint is being filed with BBB and CPO and this is goign to court.

Shoufl you decide to hire, i woudl insist that he show you his licecnce and any licence and information for ANY PERSON HE brings to your home. ensure he has insurance. make sure the contact is proper with all costs outlined and if any changes he does it right away. Make sure that he shows you reciepts for any materials he brings to the job along with the materials. DOnt allow any work or changes unless costs and change is in writing. dont allow any person to do work unless you make sure you vet them as you too coudl end up with kijiji persons without licncences, I dont think its fair to bring strangers into our home and not staff, poor work, deficient work and then as he did to us, take your money and refise to do the right things by his clients. Also do not pay all money upfont and ensure the work is dont right before you pay ANYTHING AFTER A DEPOSIT.

We think his buiness practices are unfair.

We feel he was not honest with us and another person we know abotu that he did same things. workmanship quality was not there and poor management. taking our money was not fair, and the contract didnt outline cancellation fee and to do that after issues arose and takign money away from a family is wrong.
We relaized that what he cliamed to us what not what we got, as we got inot the project and there were issues with the flooring, plumbing and claims we needed to fo jobs lieke fix our door when we his kijiji hire did plumbing and hvac work eith NO licence.

Thinking to involve the MP parliment and see if news will look into this becasue this is unfair.

It coudlve been resolved had he been fair, reviewed it, rectifed it, and not taken all our money upfront, refused us the info for people he say he paid for work that was not properly ocmpleted, and attempign to keep our funds by chargeing 4K almost in a cancellation fee for a project that was not even 11K, and in the end costs us many thosands more to cmlete all teh unfinished work and fix the deficiencies.

We urge Homestars, and will post on gloogle and suggest that they verify and validate business reviews.

Our experience was not a good outcome unfortunately. Was very stressful and costly.

Betna Homes and his team did an excellent job with the renovation of our bathroom. They were very professional, courteous, and pay particular attention to detail. The quality of work was excellent. Overall, very pleased with the outcomes and would absolutely recommend Betna Homes and his team.

Our family has had a difficult and stressful experience after hiring Betna Homes for our major home renovation project. We encountered many issues and significant concerns arose. Despite attempts to resolve the issues at the time with no success, we felt unsafe and moved out for six months due to the unfit state of our home. We are trying to working with legal counsel to try resolve the situation. Through council we will seek a thrid party unbiased construction analyist to attend our property to legally document everything so we can try to fix our home without worrying about spolization. We are saddened yet hopeful that we can possibly resolve though legal and court process. I will follow up at a later date to more share our experience in more detail on various platforms to help others to make informed decisions. I will gather supporting info, such as photographs, video,recordings, and communications. Should anything change, I will update my review to reflect.
