Since I didnt know any contractors to refurbish our chimney my research led me to The Brick and Stone Guys who had many positive reviews and were all backed up via BBB. Knowing this , I made the call to Shams who I immediately sensed a good person who was honest , professional ,trustworthy and his communication skills were excellent in explaining the work and any questions I had. I was right, they did a GREAT job on the chimney within the estimated cost and on schedule to replace the top 10 rows and grinding and repointing rows 11 to 16.
I would definitely recommend anyone who wants a reliable contractor to give Shams a call.

Shams and his team at The Brick and Stone Guys are fantastic, and I couldn't be more pleased. I had a crumbling 2nd and 3rd story wall that needed major repair, and the quotes I was getting were astronomical. Enter Shams and his team, and I was so relieved to get a quote that was affordable. Since they have their own scaffolds it lowers the cost dramatically compared to some others that offload the scaffolds to other companies with high fees. They did great work with excellent attention to detail. When there were surprises and consequent extra work involved, the fees were extremely fair. Shams is attentive, thoughtful, talented and prompt as well as being very fair with his prices. I couldn't be happier.

Demolished the old chimney above a section of our garden and beside solar panels on our roof. They fully protected the panels and used tarpolins to ensure that no debris fell on our garden.

Matching the bricks of our house was disfficult but they succeeded. The rebuild was meticulously done. A thoroughly done job.

There are some pretty sketchy characters in this business. Shams restored my faith in human nature with his honesty, integrity and professionalism. He doesn't oversell, he just delivers excellent, quality work, calmly scheduling through crazy weather events, flooded brickyards and the like. We had a masonry emergency at the corner of our house. We put out a call for help and Shams was among the first to reply and come for an inspection. He gave us a very competitive quote, and was able to do the work in just a few days. He and his helper worked hard at it and did a fine job. I would definitely recommend 'The Brick and Stone Guys' to anyone needing masonry work on their home.

Shams and his team did an amazing job for a very reasonable price. They sourced bricks very similar to the existing colour, and did such a neat job you wouldn't even notice they had re-built half the chimney. They also capped an unused chimney for me. Lastly, they did tuck-pointing all around the house, and they were very detailed.
I highly recommend the Brick and Stone Guys. Trustworthy, reliable and they do an excellent job!

I contacted them for l a nonstructural repair of missing brick, and cinderblock replacement They were quick to respond with a very reasonable quote, polite, indentified and implemented improvements to the project, had a minimal impact on the house routine, and held to the quote cost. I wouldn't pause to contact them again, I am very happy with the outcome.

I was interested in dealing with a smaller business where I was meeting the people who would do the work.
We retained The Brick and Stone Guys to complete around 10 brick/masonry projects around our house as part of a larger renovation of our century home. We were looking for work which once completed, you would not know it was done and looked original.
Shams did wonderful work. He is a conscientious and careful craftsman who takes great pride in his work. We are extremely pleased with the end result and all our friends and guest are very impressed.
The largest job was cutting a doorway through the double brick wall in our dining room to install French doors.
The job involved rebuilding the brick archway and filling in a basement window below.
Other work was building brick window sills, concrete window sills, filling in windows and a milk box and building a new access to a crawl space.
It was a pleasure working with Shams and his crew and I could not give a stronger recommendation and endorsement.

The brick and stone guys did a great job replacing salt damaged bricks and loose mortar joints at our 70 year old house.
