Maxworth Signature Homes

Had a great experience with Maxworth Signature Homes in Sherwood Park. Shaker and Harpreet were really easy to work with. We were delayed by 2 months, but honestly, it was all good in the end. I've seen my relatives stuck with a different builder who delayed by 7 months, so Im happy with how things turned out. Overall, they did a solid job and the house looks great!

Built Quality speaks for itself, as compared to some other houses, we saw.

Our possession date was extended by 1.5 months but with such a beautiful construction, its 100% justified.

Perhaps, based on my experiences, all the latest/recent reviews are true! Talked to few other owners who built with them have the same regrets!
However, the company had a good intention to serve its customers: excellent communication in the beginning of the contract, lot of satisfactory promises, very competitive and reasonable price, but did not keep it up. Now, I believe, they took lot of assignments than they were capable of. Thus, they may have financial crisis, and trades are being often changed. No site supervision; completely dependent on trades' skills! Some of the trades are not paid, and they have put legal claims using the act of liens.

Now a days, simply commitment/communication is not followed specially with the old clients to complete deficiencies! This is very unprofessional, annoying and creating mental stress to me! I will not build my 2nd home with them; do you? Presently, Maxworth Website is down too!!!

I have outside news that he is not getting finances and blaming that city permits are not yet in. I checked the edmonton city website where residential permits are granted in weeks. So clearly it's an excuse to delay work.
Looks like he is taking money from us investing it elsewhere and is just doing nothing on our homes. He has previously given 3 different months that he will start work in and is still telling me on work is going to delay but will happen. No commitment on dates means there is a chance of fooling clients again.

Unresponsive staff and owner. owner called a million times before the deal got signed and nownot picking up calls or updating regarding new home that was supposed to be finished this year. hefty down payment made but doesn't update us anymore since last few months. Owner is not responding to calls or texts and the staff has no idea what is happening. staff is not picking calls or updating on any subject. Irresponsible, irresectable towards the client's time and money.

We are existing clients. they have taken down payment from us one year ago and lately since 2 months they are not responding on call or message . UNTRUSTWORTY COMPANY

Maxworth Signature Home is the worst builder ever. Dont trust the other reviews. Basically they were pushed to write good reviews but this is not true. Has been a nightmare building with them. Dont get deceived by prices, they hire the lowest quality trade people to do the work. They have no idea what they are doing. Harpreet (supposed to be construction manager) doesnt even know the order things should come in. Whatever trade is available, he will get him to do the work. After we moved in, we had a big list of deficiencies to be done. But no response at all. Electrician, plumber, concrete company and cabinets company stopped working for him basically because he didnt pay them. I have proofs of that. Now the new trades doesnt wanna fix the work if previous trades. I wont recommend them at all. Dont trust their promises. After you move in, they wont even answer their phones. Very unreliable builder--

Please run from these guys. Save your money and build with someone trustworthy. Not Respectful towards client's time, money and trust.

Overall we are happy with the house. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone building their new home.

We started our journey with Maxworth homes in 2021 and I discussed with Mr. Shaker (President Maxworth homes) how me and my family envisioned our dream home to be like. He and his Maxworth team did everything to make that happen and we are very happy and thankful to him and his team.
