Rico did good work (other than not showing up at his first appointment with me and not bothering to call me that he is not coming ) but the administrative side was poor . Rico fixed several valves in my basement and installed a new double faucet in my backyard. I gave him a $10 cash tip.
Where it got strange and unprofessional was when i asked Rico for a bill for his good work and he refused to give it to me and said Jim would invoice me by mail ?
I have never heard of such a thing and find this highly unprofessional for a variety of reasons. One wants in real time to know what the bill is to sort out questions and misunderstandings.
Would you believe I have asked Jim 7 or 8 times over the past 5 weeks to send me a proper and professional bill . Jim is totally ignoring me .
Other thing is Jim is impossible to get a hold of by phone. he never picks up and i wasted hours trying to call Jim .
But i do have his email and text and the homestars inbox. i also have rico's text and phone number. but rico mostly does not reply to communications either.
Without good communication there is no business.
You would think the problem would be the other way around that the contractor is hounding the client for payment ? No , I seem to need to be hounding the contractor to pay him !!!!
2. Jim seems incapable of supplying me with a professional looking invoice with his HST# and address and phone number , a line about what warranties are applicable for the repair , and total money owing ?
3. I write this review with regret but Jim has behaved in a terribly disrespectful manner with my time over something that is frankly in his own interest.
I have texted Rico several times about this problem with not receiving an invoice and Rico has also ignored me. Another one of the team's plumbers was notified as well.
For heaven's sake please behave in a respectful and professional manner. Had you sent me the bill I would have given your company a 9 out of ten rating instead of a 3 out of 10 rating.
If you ignore the customer and waste the customer's time like this who is going to want to do business with you ?
I derive no satisfaction from not having paid the full bill . But I stated very clearly that i would like a receipt even if it means paying tax on the bill. This is for my own records so i know when and what happened and if a warranty applies or not. Over the course of the years I do hundreds of renovations and repairs.
