I called Homestars to find a local company to do minor installation work. The company that came to do electrical and plumbing showed up hours late and in a sports car. Then they went shopping for 2 hours to get supplies that I was charged for after have received a quote and they tried to make me pay for their tools as well. The owner immediately refunded the difference, but the employee did not do the job correctly, so I had to have it all redone.
Then Homestars sent me a bill which I immediately paid and received in invoice showing paid in full. Then that invoice disappeared and another one showing a higher balance came. After prolonged discussion on the phone, they finally asked for copy of paid invoice, and finally left me alone. Also, there were 3 company names involved with Homestars. Original contact, middle company and finally company to pay. These are all different from the actual contractor.
