All Canada Van Lines

Contract was for 1 truck and 2 movers. Required me to pay for 12 hours total - only took 9 hours. Also tried to charge me an additional $300 for a 3rd person they brought along. Send a revised invoice after the move with the additional $300.00 added to it. Whole transaction very suspect as I was forced to etransfer $1596.00 to a personal email acct of one of the movers before they would even start to load up the truck. Sought a refund from the company and was told I was a bad human being for not paying for this 3rd person that was not part of my service contract. Also refused to refund me for 3hrs of move not needed (total of $480.00 plus GST)

This company is horrible to move with. The cost ended out being double what we were quoted and we didn't get the bill until they had taken our belonging halfway from Alberta to Vancouver Island so we had no choice but to pay the extra because they had our stuff. I phoned in advance of the moving day to confirm the size of truck and specifically told them the truck would not be big enough for our belongings so they told me they would send a 2nd truck if needed. They show up with a uhaul truck which right away was going to be to small. They took all day trying to load our things into the 26 foot truck and when I asked about the 2nd truck they said it would all fit. It did not. When we arrived and unloaded there were only two people to unload and as they are unloading we can see significant damage to our items that are not replaceable. Once they had left and we realized how much was damaged we took pictures and I called them to find out how we would be compensated for items that we could not even replace 1000's of dollars. I called between 30 and 50 times at least and was asked to send pictures which they never called back to discuss. They had our money but would not call us back about the damages. This was our first time using a moving company. I could have paid people off the street and they would have done a better job for less money. Do not under any circumstances use this company.

Sunday July 28:  men were to come and box lamps, wrap furniture, get things to load on a 32 foot truck for July 29.  That did not happen.  They came with a 27 foot Uhaul.  The stayed until 10:00pm and loaded the truck.

They came back late (evening) on July 29 and finished loading.  Then took off.

They left behind the following items to my disgust:

Left at Hobart:

1 mirrow: $250.00 value

1 mirrow: $200.00

1 Cherry Wood side table:         $300.00 value

1 iron bench:  $459.00

1 iron side table:  $140.00

I had to leave behind my belongings.

They finally arrived at our new home.  The fellows were very nice.  I have no complaint about them.

Unloaded our stuff. There was a lot of damage as you can see in the pictures.  Broken lamps which were NOT boxed as stated!  Hole in sofa, scratched Cherry Wood Coffee Tables, Black Stain on a Temporpedic Mattress, plus broken plug on our refrigerator,  legs/feet for sofa missing, scratched Bamboo Coffee Table.

I haven't sorted through my boxes yet so I'm not sure of more damage.

They showed up at 6:30 PM to load my stuff. They were supposed to be there at 1:00 PM. Two guys came in a U-Haul, I wondered if this was legit. They came with the truck already loaded with someone else's stuff. They were there past midnight. They didn't even know how to latch the truck closed. At the end they told they couldn't fit all my stuff because they didn't have enough room, they blamed me for that part, even though they came to estimate prior. Around midnight they said, we cant fit all your stuff, we will have to get the rest tomorrow. ??? I moved that day and they did not go back and no one told me. New owners took possession the next day and kept the rest of my stuff. I lost my Dyson vacuum, my ergonomic office chair, an end table, and a few other items. Daily I received their invoice to pay, when I still didn't have any of my stuff yet.
When they delivered my goods into my new house in a new province, they showed up at 10:30 PM and were there until after 1:00 AM.
They used dollar store paper stickers on all the good, including furniture which pulled off the paint. I cant say strongly enough not to use this company. There is a reason companies charge more. Believe them.
That was a tough lesson for me.
One other thing.... this company represents very, very differently on their website than what is actually happening in real life. Trust me.
