Elite GTA movers: Tim, Artie and Freddy showed up to our place 20 minutes earlier than schedule.d They started immediately loading boxes to their truck and wrapping our furniture. They worked non-stop for about 3.5 hours until our house was fully emptied. The second part of the move involved unloading into a self storage facility with a long walk to the unit. Despite being delayed about 30-45 minutes at loading dock, the three guys had a smile on their faces the entire time. We were so worried that our contents wouldn't fit into the storage container but like a game of tetris, the movers were able to stack and tightly pack the container using every inch of space. Move took total of 8 hours (including the delay) . We were very happy with the services and will be hiring them again when our house is ready to move into to.

Had Tom from Mega city Roofing Inc install roof vents on our roof back in June 2017. It was difficult to find a company who would want such a small job, but Tom took the job. Although it took a bit of back and forth and rescheduling, he was able to get his guys to come and add the vents. He also provided suggestions for us to figure out potential issues with blocked soffits. Wouldn't hesitate to contact Mega City Roofing Inc for future roof repairs/installation.

Hired Otto's team to do tuckpointing on front and back of our 57 year old brick house as well as repair and apply concrete renewel to a crumbling concrete step. Brian worked meticulously to do tuckpointing over a few days and despite missing a few hard spots, Otto was quick to come check the work and agreed that the work needed to be finished properly. They didn't hound us to get paid until we were completely satisfied. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again for any future masonry work and recommend them to others.

Our eavestrough was leaking off the back of our house onto our brick and the downspout was connecting into the sewer. We called TTT for a quote and scheduled us in a few weeks later for replacement of eaves and connected downspout to drain into our backyard. The work took a few hours and now no more leak. Would recommend this company and will use them again for any further issues.

We live in a semi-detached built in 1960's. The rooms on upper level are freezing in winter and too hot in summer. Especially my son's bedroom where it always registered 2 degrees lower than thermostat on main floor. Victor came and detected significant leaks in our ducts, sealed them and even fixed broken ductwork all in one day. Now the upper bedrooms have gone up by a degree. We realize that our home will never be super warm since there is no insulation in walls and our furnace is mid-efficiency. It's comforting to know that all the leaks have been sealed and we won't be wasting money innessarily on our heating bill.

This is the 3rd time we have used Magic Monkey services for eavestrough cleaning. We have actually never met Patrick, but each and every time the response has been quick, efficient and price is fair for services provided. Recently we were noticing large amounts of water was dripping from the eaves during rainfall and large splashes of water onto the side of our exterior brick house. We emailed Patrick and he came out the next day to assess the situation and discovered that it was a poor eavestrough connection from two different systems that was done by a previous contractor. There were copious amounts of leaves and debris clogging up the downspout and hence causing water to back up towards the top of the roof. He provided a quote and came back ~ a week later to fix the problem by providing new downspout and properly connected two areas. The bill is left in the mail and we provide EMT...easy peasy. Despite never having actually met Patrick, we have been satisfied with the work done and have mutual trust. Magic Monkey is our go to company for any eavestrough issues. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Riley and team did a great job removing a bush and tree stump and planting an ornamental tree. The site was left very clean and the tree planted beautifully. Riley corresponded via email and helped to suggest a tree for the size of our yard and preferences. He provided tips and suggestions for watering and how to care for the tree. Although at times it took some time to reply via email, he was apologetic and ensured to reply immediately after explaining how busy he is. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use Elite Tree care again in the future.

Keen and his brother did a great job ripping out tile in our main hallway and kitchen and replaced with finished hardwood in May 2016. They also replaced our staircase handle, pickets and painted and sanded the risers. They both were professional and trustworthy. We felt comfortable with them in our home during the day without us present. TFC provided the lowest quote compared to at least 3 other popular flooring companies from Homestars. They finished the job in approximately one week. There was a lot of dust so we stayed at our parents house during the time of work. Overall the quality of the work on the floor and stairs was precise and neat. They were able to even out the flooring in the kitchen as best as they could and match the pattern and height with our existing hardwood in our living room. The only critique I have is that the work on replacing the quarter rounds was a bit messy; as there were nicks and staples evidently shown as well as a few areas on quarter round had drips of stains. I would have given 5 stars if every part of the flooring/stair job was looked at with the same caution. Nonetheless I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Keen.

I interviewed a total of 5 contracting companies who all received excellent reviews from HomeStars for our basement renovation. I decided on Green Maple Renovations not only because of the reasonable price, but mainly because I had a good feeling about Ariel, the owner. He was the only contractor who identified that we had asbestos in our basement that needed removal. He also identified issues with finishing a cold room (my request) and risk of mold growth; whereas the other interviewed contractors did not mention. Ariel was also very responsive via email/text/phone to any questions, concerns that I had. I felt that he really had our best interest in mind and wanted to do things the right way. Ariel and his team including Andre and Alberto are so hard working, arriving every morning around 8-8:30am to get as much work done(sometimes working 10-12 hour days). They cleaned up at the end of each day and tried to minimize dust as much as possible. They even went above and beyond to fix issues in the basement which weren't included in the contract: few water pipes, creating a water trap for drain, mounting tv bracket and electric fireplace, install shelves and counter above laundry machines. His Master Electrician Laureano was just as reliable and professional and did additional electrical work in our house. The only issue I had was that some of the finishes (i.e. painting, some tiling/grouting, staining/painting of the stairs) were slightly messy. After letting them know of my concerns, Ariel did return within 2 weeks of finishing the basement (final payments were made) to fix some of those issues and I'm waiting for him to return again to touch up some painting. We are so happy with our basement and the beautiful living space created. I have already recommended Green Maple Renovations to many friends and co-workers and wouldn't hesitate to contact them again for any home renovation need.

Anatoliy (project manager) came to assess the problem we had with some water leaking into our cold cellar. He suggested both internal and external waterproofing with a window well creation (since we had a bsmt window at grade level with the cement in front grading towards our house). His quote was not only the cheapest out of 3 other companies but it involved both internal and external waterproofing (other companies only included internal) and provided a solution for the window at grade level. His crew took two days to finish the job. They worked hard to excavate 6 ft down outside and drilled very thick concrete in our bsmt. We feel confident that our newly finished bsmt will remain dry as guaranteed by their 25 year warranty. The only small gripe I had was that the bsmt was left in little bit messy condition (with cement dust and footprints). Overall I would recommend Royal Works Corp. for any waterproofing needs.

Valentin was very responsive by text or phone right from the beginning. When he came to assess the reason for bsmt drain backing up he suggested a back water valve would be necessary. Another plumber I met with suggested we change the entire piping system in bsmt because they were 'probably old' and would have cost additional $7000. His crew installed the back flow valve over two days and filled out appropriate paperwork so we can get reimbursed by the city. The crew worked hard to excavate through our concrete to replace old water stack with new pipes and then Valentin returned few days later to use his camera to show me the condition of our internal pipes below ground and we were relieved to see that they were ok for the most part. I would highly recommend Valentin for any plumbing issues and won't hesitate to contact him again for any future plumbing issues.

Dave from Templar came out to assess the situation in our basement prior to having it renovated. He helped to keep me at ease and reassured me that despite finding out we had asbestos in our house, it likely had not been disturbed and not to worry that our children could have been exposed. Dave also was thorough in his assessment and found that there were some asbestos wrapped around parts of the heating duct from removing ceiling tile and shone a flashlight to identify them. Templar crew came and were able to remove asbestos from every heat register and few identified exposed areas in basement. They finished in less than a day and left the place clean afterwards. Dave even allowed the air scrubber to continue blowing for 24 hrs after so that I could feel at ease that in case of any asbestos in the air would be removed. Will definitely recommend Templar.

We called around to try to find someone who could install a whole house humidifier to our furnace in a very confined space. Many told us it could not be done and either rejected the job or suggested a portable or drum style humidifier as a last resort. Max was able to tell from pictures I sent him that he could do the job by re-configuring the vent pipes on the furnace to allow more space to install the humidifier. He came within a few days and got the job done in 2 hrs. Now our home is adequately humidified and we don't have to worry about our wood floors and trims cracking. Thanks for the great job Max!

We inquired with a few people to have our eavestrough cleaned. Magic Monkey was the only company that got back to us immediately and able to do the job the next day. We were not home during the job but can confirm that the eavestrough was cleaned well since we are not experiencing water leaking/dripping during rainfall from roof and damaging our brick walls.

I purchased a voucher from one of the deal sites. What seemed like a very good deal of 4 hrs of cleaning for $39 was NOT worth the hassle of booking and dealing with the very rude and unprofessional owner who answers the telephone. The first incident: I cleared my place up and left my condo with my baby so and returned 4 hrs later to find out that the cleaner did not show up?! I called the owner to complain and she replies 'don't blame me'. She was giving me a sob story of how busy it has been with all of the deal sites and kept trying to blame the cleaners for their mistake rather than take responsibility for hiring these people and apologize to customers for the inconvenience. I gave them another chance by agreeing to re-book for a few days later cause my place was filthy. The owner tried to squeeze me in for sat morning and said she would call me back the next day to confirm if it were possible to squeeze me in. No call from her of course so I called back the day before the scheduled cleaning and she confirmed that someone was coming the saturday morning for 8am. I have a little baby so it took quite the effort to get up early and try to get out of the house before the cleaner's got there. 8:15 rolls by and no cleaners so I called the owner to tell her nobody has showed up yet and she asked me 'didn't you re-book for 2:00pm'. I was furious! She then pretended that 'oh I thought you were somebody else'. She then tells me that the cleaner who was supposed to come couldn't make it cause her daughter was bleeding (yeah right). Then she tries to appease the situation by saying, don't worry we'll send somebody for sure immediately. I find out through text message 2 hours later (which wasn't supposed to be to me but to her friend) that that the cleaner that was supposed to come couldn't find my place and needed her friend to go as a last hope. In the end, the place was cleaned adequately; however was not worth all the hassle and incompetence from this company. Never again!
