I called Michael to replace a couple of damaged exterior duct covers. He was quick to respond and came the next day. His work was great and done quickly. He obviously takes pride in doing a good job. Very nice guy as well. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

Mike came to reconnect our A/C unit. The weather was raining and he didn't complain at all even though this delayed him. He was pleasant and helpful. He troubleshooted a problem that wasn't anticipated and figured out a solution. Would highly recommend for any HVAC job.

I was contacted by this company through the project service through Homestars. Communication was amazing right off the bat. It was a small job, but Elaine completed it with efficiency, great skill, and a friendly smile. It was really a pleasure to work with her and see the pride she takes in her trade. The work quality was great and everything was kept (and left) very clean. I would not hesitate to call Flynn's Painting again.

GTA wiring was quick to respond to a request and came the next night to solve the jumble that was left in our house. He was quick, courteous, and gave good advice. Would recommend to anyone for wiring issues.

Frank and his team were excellent to deal with. He was responsive to initial communications and understood the urgency of our project. He completed the job efficiently and with excellent quality. He answered all questions and gave me options, which was appreciated. I had a follow-up visit to address my concerns without hesitation. I purchased our A/C from Cosmopolitan 5 years ago and they were excellent to work with. To maintain the extended warranty, I need to have them service the A/C unit yearly. For the past 2 years, the quality of the servicing was very poor. The coils were left filthy both years, which I was specifically told would ruin the unit. When I brought this up to management, they were dismissive and didn't return my calls. Unfortunately I don't think I have a choice to go with another company because of the warranty, but I would not recommend these guys any longer based on their response to this issue.

Dan did a great job at renovating a room from top to bottom. His finishin quality was really great, he was good to work with and his price was very reasonable. The team that he brought in was always friendly and courteous. We would highly recommend him to anyone.

Elite was referred to me by GE Canada for repair of my newly purchased dishwasher and fridge under warranty. The staff coordinating the appointment were courteous and polite. The technicians were pleasant and didn't leave a mess. The dishwasher took a few visits to fix, which was frustrating but not elite's fault. Comunication was excellent except the company didn't followup with me as GE said they would.

We were stuck with a burst frozen pipe on the family day long weekend and Vlad came to the rescue. He was thorough, friendly and competent. We had an issue with water pressure after this - the company responded effectively and stood behind their work. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

I found Nick through homestars and have been very pleased with his professionalism. I had him complete a tear down and then finishing of a mudroom. Both him and his team were always very courteous and polite. His communication was excellent, I always knew when to expect him, or if there would be a delay. He was very flexible in his availability, and made it work to my schedule. The cost for the work was very reasonable, and the quality of the job was very good - from the tiling, to the clean up, to the finishing of the drywall and trim. Nick is a good guy and overall very reliable. I'll be asking for another quote from him on a project soon.

Jason did a great job with my front porch. He was quick, clean and reasonably priced. He knew exactly what to do and even hauled away a large amount of debris that was hiding under the room. I am already requesting another quote from him to fix some exterior walls.

Warren and his team did a great job on our garage's aluminum siding. Very prompt and effective communication. Reasonable pricing. We were very satisfied with the job and will contact him again if we need any painting done.

We were looking for plans to be drawn up for a renovation projection. Alex was very accommodating and helpful. He was flexible with our changing plans and a pleasure to work with. His final drawings were excellent, although we have not yet submitted them through the city. I would highly recommend this company.

We had 2 glass bathroom shower doors installed.The company were great initially. Great product, very responsive, very fast installation; we were very satisfied and would have recommended them in a heartbeat. One of the doors was installed too tightly, so it started banging against the other piece of glass after a few months. This is where it fell apart, it took over 2 months of frequent phone calls and hassles to get them to fix it. The office did not return phone calls or followup as promised. In the end, the doors are great and we're satisfied, but the followup customer service was awful.

I had a few companies come out and quote for a new A/C installation at my house. Cosmopolitan seemed professional and very competitive with respect to the pricing, the product and the warranty that they provided. I decided to go with them, and I was very pleased with everything. Their installers were polite and efficient. The Lennox unit is performing great so far. Overall it was a very good experience and I would recommend them.

We recently moved into a 100+ year old house which, to our surprise, had a leak on the top floor within the first month of us arriving. The previous owners had stated that part of the roof was new, but there were obviously some flaws in its construction. And to complicate things further, it is a flat roof, which can be far more difficult to build/maintain/repair. I called Academia mainly because of their prior excellent reviews, and I was not disappointed. Gordon explained the detailed process of fixing roofs over the phone, while Joe was up on the roof spending the afternoon repairing the suspect area with a large patch and then meticulously redoing each edge until he felt it was complete. Joe is obviously an expert at this. The repair LOOKED seamless, but the real test was to see what happened during the first rain. Luckily for us there was a windy night with heavy rains not more than 2 days later. This type of rain would normally have accumulated 2-3" of rain in the buckets that we used to keep the floors relatively dry. But after Joe's repair ... not a single drop! We were thrilled. It has been a few weeks now, and after multiple rainy days, I am very pleased to see that the repair is still keeping the 3rd floor as dry as a bone. We will eventually have to replace the entire roof - at which point Academia Roofing will be called again. Until then, I sincerely thank Gordon and Joe for their skills, knowledge and insight - after all the horror roofing stories I've read on Homestars, I can see why they continually get great reviews and end up with satisfied customers. Verbal agreement was made over the phone prior to them arriving. When they got to my house, they changed the details - obviously making it more expensive. They told me that there was a 4-hr minimum and extra charges for stairs, after I specifically asked if there would be extra fees. After a continual back-and-forth with the 'manager' on the phone, since they changed the terms of the agreement, I did not want them to do the move. What would have happened if they damaged something? Eventually I called the police because they would not give me deposit back. They finally left after taking the 'travel fee' of $45 - which I reluctantly agreed to. This company is obviously not ethical.
