3 years ago, the guys at A1 did a chimney inspection but we never used the fireplace, so when we wanted to use it this year, I called A1 to see if they thought we should inspect it again, due to the amount of time that had passed. Owen (Oh boy, i hope I got your name right!) was awesome on the phone. He could have just come out, inspected and charged me for it, but instead, over the phone, he talked me through some things to check, and said if all is okay, then no immediate need for another inspection. He also gave me guidelines for how often to inspect, things to be aware of, etc. Amazing service! A1 is in my roladex and when we do need future work done, we'll be calling them. Guaranteed!

Our gas oven stopped working and I turned to Homestars to find a repairman. From the moment Altiar answered my call, I knew I made the right choice. He was pleasant and knowledgeable on the telephone. He called when he was on his way to our home - thoughtful! When he arrived, he recalled having been to our home to service our washer two years earlier! I felt horrible that I didn't remember Altiar was the one who fixed the washer, but coincidentally, when our neighbour's washer broke down yesterday, I told him about this great guy who fixed ours a couple of years earlier. I said I'd look up his info if he wanted it, and then...who showed up at our home today , it was Altiar again, two years later, and he quickly fixed our oven. By the way, the old washer he fixed two years ago still works like a charm. Thanks so much for your amazing service. This time, I'm keeping your card handy so I can share it with everyone! As new homeowners, we were horrified to see water seeping into our basement a couple of weeks after moving in, at the first heavy rainfall. We called our realtor, and she quickly recommended a trusted company: The WaterProofers. We called Stephen, and even though he was extremely busy (I guess the rain flooded a few basements that day), he made time to come by, and examine the damage with his high-end infra-red camera, and to offer both guidance, and reassurance. Under his advice, we contacted a mold specialist, and Stephen and his crew coordinated the repair work with the mold removal crew, and kept us informed at all stages of the project. The crew that worked on our house was very thorough in finding all possible sources of water infiltration, and they solved them all, in addition to improving the water-resistance of the rest of the basement by properly separating the walls and floors from the external concrete, allowing for water to flow without contaminating the internal building materials. When they were done fixing the foundation cracks, they were kind enough to rebuild our deck, and left the work site very clean. All the work was done as per the estimates, and completed within the time frame provided. There have since been many heavy rains, and I am happy to report that our entire basement has remained dry. We hope to never need another water proofer, but if we do, we're calling Stephen and his crew at the WaterProofers again.

Making the appointment was easy and we even received a reminder call a day prior to the appointment. This chimney clean job was done quickly, the serviceman left the work area clean and he was very courteous.

The service was wonderful! Maple staff did a great job and were very courteous. They also provided us with photos of the leaf guards after installation was complete. Yitzie followed up to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Terrific experience!

The team at Mold.ca came highly recommended, and they lived up to their reputation. They were true to their estimate, they were punctual, and throughout the entire process kept in constant communication, and took time to update us on their progress and findings. The crew was polite, professional, and attentive (even remembering to lock the back door when they left!). They made what started as a very scary situation (new home, 8 months pregnant, health risks of mold, etc) very bearable, and for that, we are grateful. The containment of the affected area was very well done too, completely sealing off the basement, and creating a negative pressure setting to ensure no contamination of our living space occurred. We hope never to work with them again ;), but should we encounter mold again, Gregg and his team are the only ones we’d call. Cheers, Cheryl and Hugo
