My family room and hall renovation project required removal of popcorn ceiling and restoration of walls (drywall was previously covered with paneling). Both original ceiling and walls had been installed circa 1970. Hiring Popcorn Ceiling Removal (EPF Pro Services) was a great decision. In evaluating the project, Alex recommended that it was not necessary to remove and install new drywall for the walls (saving time and cost); that all required preparation: repair, reinforcement, meshing etc. would be done, (and was done). All exposed surfaces were protected, dust was at a minimum (they have top equipment and know how to use it). Both Alex and colleague Kamil, were punctual and on-site early each day. The final result was excellent. See photos. They are not just professional, but also artists at their craft. I highly recommend them.

For 2016, our annual furnace maintenance was done by Alex B. As usual, he arrived as scheduled, conducted a thorough check of the furnace, and explained his service report in a professional manner. We purchased our furnace & AC from Atlas 15 years ago. From the original install that required additional work, to the yearly maintenance call and at other occasions, the service provided has always been excellent.

We recently had our basement renovated (April 2016) and chose ISM RenoBuilders LTD (finished.basements.ca) to do the job. We made the right choice. The whole process could not have gone any better, from the initial meetings with Vitaliy to discuss project scope, options and costs, to finalizing project design with Igor, to choosing colors and finishing materials with Natalie, and last but most importantly, the very skillful tradesman (the structural crew – framing, drywall, tile, flooring installation, painting, the plumbing and the electrical crews). The final result was a beautiful renovation that included a bright laundry room, a large 3 piece bathroom and a very comfortable family/ TV room. All done expertly and on time as promised.

My problem was a raccoon in my attic. I called AAA Gates Wildlife Control and their service from beginning to end was excellent. The raccoon had gained entry from a roof vent. A day earlier my neighbour had advised me that a roof vent was slightly pried open (assumed it was the wind) and I promptly climbed up and pushed down the cover. That night (and all night), there was nervous pacing on both sides of the second floor bedroom ceiling. First thing in the morning I called AAA Gates WC, and fortunately Chris was able to arrive within an hour. Chris was very friendly, knowledgeable and competent. He assessed the situation (actually first tried to shoo it away but without success), provided recommendations, a written estimate, and efficiently completed the work which included securing all the vents with screens, except the entry vent where a one-way door was temporarily installed complete with a makeshift ladder for the raccoon to more easily climb out. Early that night the raccoon exited the attic. A day later, Chris returned to secure the last vent. I was very pleased with the work done by Chris and AAA Gates Control. The approach and humane methods they employ are efficient and effective. I will definitely call them again if necessary and I highly recommend them. PS. It is amazing how easily raccoons can remove roof vent covers (even without damaging them); I would recommend that you have them secured permanently if raccoons are near your property.

We recently purchased and installed engineered hardwood flooring from Invision Hardwood & Decor. We chose Santos Mahogany (Cabreuva) from Mercier and the results, as well as the experience with Invision could not have been better. Working with Roy, our options (different wood textures, sizes & colours) were clearly presented and when we saw the solution …. Bingo! ,… the choice was easy. We chose to prepare the subfloor ourselves, and Roy was very knowledgeable helpful in answering any questions and concerns we had regarding subfloor preparation. Finally, we were particularly impressed with the installation crew. They arrived early, were courteous and neat, and above all, installed a hardwood floor that was technically accurate and artistically pleasing (they took the time to layout the board arrangement prior to nailing). We highly recommend Invision Hardwood & Decor.
