We hired Murdock Construction to complete our kitchen backsplash. We provided the tiles, and they supplied everything else (we were able to chose grout color). Thomas explained the reasoning for choosing one product over an other and provided me with assurance that he could complete the job well. I am a very picky customer and was sure to tell him ahead of time and he insured me that quality was what he wants his company known for. Final product is fantastic, do me on time AND by far the least expensive out of the quotes I got! We have other projects coming down the line and will definitely be calling this company!

Although the finished product is great, and the installer was fantastic, I had many issues dealing with the owner. I felt she was always trying to hide costs and try to increase pricing other than what was discussed. For example, in the contract, there is a clause indicating a surcharge (amount not indicated) for any slabs that need to be brought up more than 3 stairs. I was getting my kitchen & 2 bathrooms done. When I called to ask about this clause, I was told that because I didn't mention the bathrooms are upstairs, I would be charged an additional $70. At no point was this ever a discussion topic in our negotiations, but I was also told that I should have been the one to mention this. I would think that the owner should go through ALL aspects of the quote considering I don't replace my counters everyday and wouldn't know what they charge extra for. Pricing was fair, dealing up to counter installation was difficult. Other companies provide fair pricing too- I would go elsewhere.
