Our furnace was damaged and stopped working after a sudden lightning surge hit our home. I found Climax Heating on Homestars and they immediately arranged to have someone come to check our furnace that afternoon. Ali quickly diagnosed that our furnace was indeed damaged and suggested we install the Bosch heat pump system which would also replace our over 15 year old A/C unit. Ali and his team members were easily contacted during this process to assist us in making decisions and necessary arrangements. Ali and Reza arrived the next day and worked very efficiently to install the new units. Overall, the Climax team were pleasant to deal with and answered all our questions and concerns . We look forward to having this company look after our future heating and cooling needs. Thanks again for a job well done!

We needed to replace our shingles, removal of old chimney and repair a very sad roof on our backyard shed. After a long time researching roofing companies, we came across The Roofers. From the moment I contacted Ash, all my questions and concerns were promptly and clearly explained. We were very impressed with the company's overall communications. The roofing team arrived on time with a polite knock on the door. We were contacted with a concern regarding the shed roof and were pleased with how the team resolved the issue. The clean up was very impressive and quick. We want to thank Ash and his team for a great job!

We have trusted Homestars to find professionals to perform our home projects for over a decade. The 10 out of 10 reviews for Cummins Restorations are incredibly deceptive, when you see the work that was done for us. The work itself is unsightly and unprofessional and the job sites were left unkempt, as seen in the pictures. We trusted the initial job description/quote for the cement post supports from Brian but ended with an incredibly disappointing result, which left us with posts of varying shapes and sizes! We also requested the chimney be removed, and as you can observe in the photos, cracks are appearing, one week after completion. We were refunded a portion of the cost of the cement posts , but did not receive any response for the chimney issue, which will require a new company to repair it properly. As far as cleaning up, broken concrete pieces remained on the lawn as well as on the roof and eavestroughs. Overall, this was an incredibly disappointing experience which has left us with further costs to repair all the faulty work.

We contacted Bijan for a quote to install a new water heater. He was prompt in responding and arrived a few days later to assess the job to be done. The communication via phone and email was great! Randy and Jesus arrived for the installation at the agreed time. Our water heater is located in a very confined area and they both worked very professionally to complete a very challenging installation. Randy went through a quick check list about our new heater. We were very pleased with our experience with Spring Home! Job well done!

We called Joe to set up an appointment for a problem with our refrigerator. He arrived on time and the issue was explained and repaired quickly. We found Joe to be honest and professional and we would definitely call him again for future appliance issues.

We had used Java Electric in the past for some minor electrical work and chose them again to replace 2 outdoor light fixtures and to remove an indoor, unused light fixture. We arranged possible days with Antonio via phone and email. Arnoldo arrived on time (on a very cold morning) and assessed the situation to suggest the best way to install the fixtures. The job was exceptionally done! The work areas were left clean and Arnoldo even took away the old fixtures! Arnoldo was polite and a pleasure to deal with. Job well done!

I contacted Emerald Moving after reading reviews on Homestars. I had never used a moving company before and was hoping I could find one that would reassure me that the move would go well. Dave answered all my questions and left me feeling confident that the job would be done with no concerns. He gave me some good advice on packing, and asked me details on the move. Dave and Mike arrived on time, and did a super job loading the truck ( they deserve a truck packing award!) Everything fit perfectly! They even did a great job moving the large furniture through a tight laneway. Great job guys! I had no worries throughout the entire move and would recommend them highly! We needed a small fence and gate replaced and contacted Toronto Fence for a quote. Alex came by and we discussed different options for the project. We had a few concerns, that he reassured would not be a problem to accommodate. The project started sooner than the original estimated dates. Alex and his father, Mario had the old fence removed, and new posts put in on the first day and the job was completed in a few hours the following day. The area was completely cleaned and all remaining debris was taken away. We were extremely pleased with the end result! They were both pleasant and easy to talk to. Thank you for a job well done and we will considered your company for any future projects!

I found Antonio to be extremely professional, prompt, courteous, conscientious, and fair. He took the time to review our home and the specific concerns we had, and took the time to explain what services would really be necessary; we thought more work would be necessary than there really was! I was very comfortable with Antonio's review, and estimate of services which would be needed. When the date came for Antonio to come and complete the work, he and his assistant were both friendly and professional, taking the time to answer some further questions. When the jobs were completed, they were careful to ensure each workspace was neatly cleaned, and demonstrated how each project functioned properly. Antonio would be my first choice for any future electrical jobs.

We had contacted Northwood to give us an estimate on a new high efficiency furnace. Michael was very informative and gave us confidence in their experience with our installation needs. Measurements were taken during the estimate visit in the cramped crawl space that would soon fit our new furnace. A date was set and two members of the Northwood team ( George and Santos) arrived on time and immediately set down drop sheets over the floor and stairs to the basement. A third team member (John) arrived shortly after to re-locate the air conditioner coil as part of the original plan. After approx 11 hours working non-stop, the job was done. The work area was spotless. The Northwood team explained some important points regarding our new furnace before leaving. They were polite, hard working and we really appreciate all your back-breaking work in the cramped space. Great work!! Thank you for a job well done!
