I have been using LUX for several months, and I have been extremely happy with their service. Allan, Greg and their team of cleaners are all very professional and easy to work with. Before the first cleaning, Allan came to our house for a consultation and developed a very thorough custom cleaning plan for the house. The cleaners follow this plan carefully. No detail is overlooked, and I never have to worry whether they missed a spot. The cleaners are very reliable, and they always come on time. They bring their own cleaning equipment, which is great, and I love that they use green supplies, so I don't have to worry about exposing my family to toxic chemicals from the cleaning. LUX always responds quickly to my emails, and I like that they actually welcome my questions and comments. I feel like they are committed to working with me to make sure I am completely satisfied with their work. LUX is a little more expensive than some other services I've tried, but in my experience, they are worth it.

After being told by another repairman that my 1 1/2 year-old machine might be defective, I called Maytag Metro on the advice of Whirlpool Canada. I was worried Maytag Metro would be more costly, since they are an authorized repair service for Whirlpool, and my washer was no longer covered by warranty. As it turned out, I didn’t need to worry. Maytag Metro was very easy to deal with. I was able to get an appointment the next day, and the repairman came when he said he would. He examined my machine thoroughly, and found and fixed the problem. My machine wasn’t defective after all; a hose just needed tightening. The machine is working fine now, and the service call cost me a lot less than I expected. I also like that they emailed me a detailed receipt the next day, rather than leaving me with a handwritten (and usually illegible) receipt. Overall, I was very pleased with the service, and I would happily recommend them to others.

I called several different companies for this repair. Even though it was a fairly small job, it was very important to me. One company returned my call two weeks late, and never showed up to give me an estimate. One company gave me an estimate, but never responded to my follow-up questions. Another company gave me a big sell on what needed to be done. Luc, on the other hand, responded quickly and gave me an honest and detailed estimate. He was very patient in answering my follow-up questions, and always answered promptly. I also like that he is comfortable with email, since that is my preferred mode of communication. The job was done in a timely manner and at a competitive price. Luc even took “before” and “after” pictures, so I could see exactly what had been done. I am very happy with the service I received from Luc, and he will be the first one I call when I need to replace my roof in a few years’ time. Highly recommended.

The bricks and mortar around the top of our chimney were crumbling and needed repair. Compared to some of the other contractors we contacted, we could tell right from the initial phone call with Otto's Masonry that they were professionals. They were able to come by and give us a quote within a couple of days of our first phone call, and their quote was very competitive. After setting a date to do the work, they came when they said they would come, and finished the job within a couple of hours. Both of the men who came to do the job were very friendly, and I was impressed with how well they cleaned up after. We had a great experience with Otto's Masonry from beginning to end, and I would definitely call them again if I needed more brickwork done.
