In 2009 Rolltec installed a motorized Adalia X3M Extenda model awning with a remote control and wire-free wind extender on the back of our house. The wind extender is designed to retract the awning automatically if it senses extreme weather conditions. After 7 years the fabric still looks brand new and the awning has performed flawlessly ... until this spring when it began to retract automatically in perfect weather conditions at seemingly erratic intervals. I assumed the wind extender was malfunctioning and called Rolltec for advice. Helen, the General Manager, called me back the same day and explained how to open the casing of the wind extender and change the two AAA batteries! It took me two minutes! Problem solved.
