Drainworks replaced an original cast iron stack in our basement which had cracked, as well as the original (100 year old) drain system in the basement and extending outside to the city sewer connection. They also installed a new drain in the basement and several clean out accesses (which were lacking in the old set up). This was a big job. We were very impressed by the professionalism of Chris, Lou and Armando and with the tidy, efficient work done by Misha and his team. All work scopes and quotes were detailed and in writing. The work was followed up by a post job inspection and written report on what had been done. Lou and Armando were very pragmatic and gave useful advice. They were also willing to listen to concerns and get customer input and did not hesitate to explain everything they proposed to do and check to make sure that everything was understood. We were kept informed about what was going on throughout the job, and additional input from us was sought as necessary. Appointments were meticulously kept (the start date for the drain replacement was even moved ahead by one day, after checking to make sure it was okay). Very pleased with the work done and with the professionalism of this company.

M&R installed a new shingle roof on our (largish) house and garage in October. The work included stripping off the old shingle roofing and the installation of new underlayment, shingles, flashing materials and roof vents. M&R impressed us at both the quote stage and with their actual work. Maciej promptly made (and kept) an appointment to inspect our roof, discussed the proposed scope of work with me on site, and made helpful suggestions regarding materials and work scope. He also addressed my specific requests and questions about his subsequent quote in a prompt and professional manner. The terms of the quote were clear and the price was reasonable for the scope of work involved. M&R's crew showed up to do the work when we were told they would. They were polite and tidy and did a good job on our house. The roof looks good. I had learned of M&R and decided to include them as one of the firms invited to give a quote after having been favourably impressed by their workmanship on other houses they have done in our neighourbood over the previous two years.

I was very impressed with the service and work done by Michael and JP. The message I left with the company about our leaky roof was returned promptly within the same morning. I was given a clear explanation of the company's billing practices, and JP was at our home the next morning to do the work. He conducted a detailed examination of our roof to find the cause of the leak, explained to me what needed to be done to temporarily repair the leak and what permanent repair work was advisable or optional as a follow-up. The work was completed efficiently within an hour, and we received a written report with photos within 48 hours detailing the problems that had been identified, what had been done to fix them and the additional follow-up work that was recommended. A fixed quote with a detailed work explanation for the recommended follow-up work arrived the day after that, and JP was back within a few days of our accepting it to complete the follow-up. The service and work were great, and we were pleased with the way the matter was handled by both Michael and JP. I would happily recommend them based on our experience.
