Century Grove Homes

They are RATS. All I can say is that Century Grove Homes ruined my health, and many repairs and problems still continue. 10 years later, after paying ten and ten of thousands of dollars to repair things in a home bought new, my list of major repairs goes on and on. Its very clear to me that the trades people they used to build my house were not trained or qualified. e.g. the roof had many leaks - when other professionals got up onto the roof they report ed that things had been left off for water proofing, in the valley etc etc. I had to get a new roof. I had cracks and leaks into the basement that costs thousands of $'s to be repaired. Im sure they built my house with bits of constructions pieces left over from other jobs. They used the cheapest, non durable things from faucets to door handles, that rust etc. Absolutely unbelievable. Tarion, I found is just a paper tiger. Century Grove company just completely ignored all requests for repairs from day one. When they did send some one they actually did a worse job and were imcompetent. (They were obviously unhappy that they had to come to do the job free of charge (cos CGH wont pay them) and they showed it in their bad attitude. CGH even refused to put a marble strip that should have gone over the threshold where the uneven tiles met between rooms. Even though the marble was on the contract. The wrong window in the bathroom is installed incorrectly / you have to actually step into the corner bath to get to the other side to open the window. I have slipped and fell many times. They would not acknowledge this was a problem and a safety issue and that it was the wrong window. I guess the window company get the window mixed up and put one in that should have gone in a bedroom. They were so cheap- the metal on the shower door, like a razor blade catching your heel and causing a deep cut. The house was built so poorly, it had to be repaired at a great expense, not to mention the toll on my health with constant stress and constant repairs - one thing after another. I paid a lot for kitchen upgrades which they did a garbage job and didnt fulfil one item - installing a pantry. I called and called for the refund. Eventually I called each and every phone extension in the company and left a message on each phone begging for someone to get the accounts person to get me a refund. Even the toilets pipes in the walls behind the dry wall had to be done again as when the toilet flushed it sounded like a train was going through the house, loud bangs. Their family plumbers - Vitullo Plumbers, saidto me yes thats normal - even the plumbing in his house sounded like that !!! yeah right. All the toilets use to overflow regulary- what a nightmare. Im sorry that I was so very sick of the experience of buying the house I didnt have the energy to sue them. I wish all us with complaints could have done a class action case against them. The same family Vitullo Brothers if Im correct, I believe own another/same company and now trades as Mosaik. BUYER BEWARE - CAVEAT EMPTOR

Really poor craftmanship for the price you pay for a new home. The company used for our windows went ou tof business therefore 20+ windows need to be replaced. After Sales care - Simply awful !!! buyer beware

I see a lot of bad comments about this company. I feel quite lucky I didn't have these issues myself. Now, I do see where these comments are coming from but I haven't personally had these problems. I have been exposed to some lack of customer satisfaction issues but overall, I am very happy with my home and like its design compared to similar models at the same price level and think that they are a quality builder even if they lack that customer satisfaction issue.

I Bought a house from century grove homes in 2007. The workmanship from the trade were poor. Trades had to come back numbers times for the same reason. Not great.

Turns out that $700,000+ doesn't buy much in Oakville from Century Grove (CG) Homes. I was concerned that with a small builder the customer service would be lacking and unfortunately, my concerns are now my reality. Customer service is not anything they are familiar with. This is my fourth new home in the Oakville/Burlington area and CG is by far the worst builder I have ever worked with.
Yes, they can build a somewhat decent house (if you like your exterior walls crocked). But if you need help post-possession, good luck.
Anyone wanting to buy in Oakville - take it from someone who knows. Wait a few months until Mattamy releases its North Oakville lots and buy a quality home from a company that understands the importance of customer service. It may cost you slightly more but it's worth it. Your home will be built by people who have a clue.

Right from the start they were a tad sketchy but thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt. Bug mistake. We should have walked away when they were 120 days behind schedule for the second time. Poor workmanship, can never get anyone to come fix the problems and when you do they do a terrible job and don't want to be there and don't care. No one at customer service helps you when you have problems. We are at 2nd year end report, still have things from 30 day and 1 year report that are being dealt with and Tarion is still invovled. They take your money and run.. don't let them! This is my 3rd house from a new build, so I am not new to the experience.

I bought my home from Century grove. They wanted to convince me that some severely damaged areas are industry standards. They never honour PDI. I conducted my PDI while the house was not even 80 done. The kitchen was not finished and was not save to use. Floors were not finished till after 6 months. By far the worst builder you can deal with. Head office and after sales ,simply do not exist.

THE AFTER CARE SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT. THERE SITE STAFF AND CUSTOMER CARE STAFF ARE INADEQUATE. THEY ARE NON RESPONSE TO HOMEWONER ISSUES AND BLATANTLY IGNORE ISSUES. THE OWNERS OF THE COMPANY DO NOT TAKE ANY PRIDE IN THEIR PRODUCT OR REPUTATION AND THIS IS APPARENT THROUGH THEIR OWN STAFF!

I bought this second house in woodbridge ,Ontario. This was my first experience with Century Grove homes. I am very very dissatisfied with the product I got from Century. They do not reply or even pick up the phone. They did PDI in a under construction building. I am certain that this is worst builder of canada. Who ever read this review PLEASE DO NOT BUY HOUSE FROM CENTURY GROVE HOMES.

We bought a home from this AWFUL company, everything was good at first, but when it came time to fix what their workers did, no one even wanted to talk to us. We had to get Tario involved to get things done!!! This is not our first home, This is the worst experience we have ever come across. These people should not even be allowed to sell homes, thats how bad they are!! Their customer service team does not care AT ALL!! They will not even return your calls!!! Do yourself a favour, do not buy from this AWFUL builder!
