Crystal Homes

the quality for the house is really really bad that I have ever seen. We found a big crack on foundation wall which I can insert my finger inside, and I made appointment with builder. A guy came in, at first he was really careful, even I asked him some question, he wouldn't answer me. However,when he found our stairs wasn't the original wood stairs, he insisted that that was the reason caused the crack! What?? He seemed like finally he found the excuse and he kept talking that was my false unlike at the beginning. He didn't even know how heavy my stair was because I took out the stair before he came. He also mentioned that, every houses they built had certification. That is bullshit, because every defective product first time was made with certification too, the reason why we need warranty just to prevent us from getting defective product.
I looked up my file in TARION, my home has been reported to fix for twice during the first 3 years(I AM THIRD OWNER), this is absolutely defective home. Never ever buy home from CRYSTAL HOMES.

What a mickey mouse builder, you know home building times are good when a company like this is still around, please proceed with caution when choosing Crystal Homes (flip of the dice). Unsatisfied customer, Tony

I AM DISTRAUGHT! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND CRYSTAL HOMES TO ANYONE UNFORTUNATELY.THEY HAVE NO SENSE OF RESPECT OR COURTESY DESPITE TRYING TO BE VERY UNDERSTANDING, RESILIENT AND ACCOMODATING TO THEIR NEEDS (can't believe I just said their needs, who is the customer?). THEY DECIDED ON A CLOSING BUT UNFORTUNATELY GOT EXTENDED (NOT being NOTIFIED) THEN AGREED ON A DATE ... ALL OF A SUDDEN WANTED AN EARLIER CLOSING DATE (I think everyone would know the reason) WHICH WE AND EVEN THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER( WHO WAS VERY HONEST) KNEW THAT IT WAS UNREALISTIC SO WE GAVE THEM A MONTH WHICH THEY SAID WAS VERY REASONABLE! AND A WEEK (.....A WEEK!) BEFORE THE MOVE (WHEN ALL THINGS ARE PLANNED WITH WORK, SICK LOVE ONES, ENDING A LEASE etc...) YOU EXTEND IT AGAIN? . I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND A MONTH BEFORE BUT THIS IS A BIT INCONSIDERATE... If you think of buying with crystal homes please rethink your decision. From my experience there is no worst builder.
Crystal Homes in general: very difficult to get a hold of any one in head office, including the emergency line that i called after two days of email and phone call with no answer.

Purchased a new home, was delayed 8 months. Did the PDI (numerous issues - builder would not allow exterior to be assessed) and the next day - day of closing the painter came in. (Good thing we were not moving that day). The day after possession they paved the driveway - it has subsequently sunk in more than one place. We have been in the home for 30 days now. We paid for numeorus upgrades including level 3 stairs (wood with stain). There are staple holes in all stairs that were not filled prior to sanding. The stain on the stair is missing totally in some areas. There are a huge number of outstanding issues including a number of Ontario Building code deficiencies confirmed with an independent home inspector and then our local chief building inspector. We have contractual issues that will have to go to small claims court. We have now been in the home for 30 days and can only wonder how Tarion can rate this builder as Excellent.

They did pretty good job. Very Professional and great customer service. Cost was reasonable.
