Heating System

A friend of mine recommended Davenport-Campbell 14 years ago when we changed the furnace system from oil to gas. They did a great job in good manners. We had ongoing problems with previous company that had installed an air conditioning system (right from the start for 5 years on). So, we asked Davenport-Campbell to help us. Eventually we had to replace the system, however it cost us less for the new system. And since then, we haven't had problems for several years.

This winter, after 14 years for the first time, we had some problems with the gas furnace, and again we had a good response from Davenport-Campbell. The problem was solved temporarily within a day and Andrew assured us for the emergency contact in case for the weekend. He didn't pressured us but explained us the situation and gave us option of a new furnace or repair. Next day, even on the weekend, the sales person came to give us to explain the different types of new furnaces including all the discount opportunities. He answered all our questions and we were comfortable to decide a new furnace. They installed the furnace the following week. The person who installed was their family member. He was very professional and impressive. It's good to know the company like them.

space pak air conditioning

I have been in my home for almost 20 years. The previous owners had installed the space pak system from Davenport Campbell, and as soon as the 5 yr warranty ran out, i needed a new compressor. I continued to use D-C for approx. 15 years, and in that time i had to replace the compressor twice. The reason is that the freon levels constantly leaked outso, by law, i had to pay for a nitrogen test. Each year, the leak was at the same locationwhere the service tech attached his tubing to measure the freon levels. It turned out that the fittings would loosen and the freon then leaked out. Eventually i was advised to replace the "upstairs" unit, in the attic. Davenport wanted over $5000 (this was around 2003) and they were putting alot of pressure on me to fix it "right away" because if i didn't do it "that day", then they didn't know when they would be able to send out another service tech. Luckily i called for some other estimates and was able to install the same unit for $3000 with another company. I did not enjoy the high pressure sales tactic, and i felt very unsatisfied with D-C, as every single year the A/C would break down and not be working by the end of the summer.

Air Conditioning Service

On an air conditioner service, (air conditioner not functioning adequately) the serviceman didn't seem to know what he was doingwas very unfamiliar with our equipment, but still billed us for an hour of time. His findings did not make sense to me, so i called another company AirWorks, which gave a completely different diagnosis and fixed the problem.

SpacePak AC service

I have an older SpacePak AC unit installed by previous owner of my house. When I called for annual inspection/maintenance service, Davenport Campbell gave me the same rate the previous owner had been getting for the past few years. The service was quick and efficient. Although the repairman did make a recommedation for additional work, there was no hard sell. Overall, a pleasure to deal with.

New Furnace & A/C

I really shopped around for my new furnace and AC unit - Davenport Campbell were on time, on budget and came back for no cost service call when I needed a new thermostat. Recommended.
