Draft on new patio door/ Poor after Installation service

In August of 2015, we had doors and windows installed by Clera in Scarborough. We had three doors and two windows installed. Our installers were very professional and courteous. We were content with the finished product. In mid December I noticed a draft at the patio and then saw daylight where the insulation is. Yuri our installer was very meticulous with his work, so I was surprised that there was a leak . All other doors and windows installed in August were fine.

My wife called and texted our agent, and called the office. I then called and he called me. I was agreeable to him coming that evening of the call or the next night and he did not show either. Apparently a message was left, on my cell phone. I wrote a negative review along with photos in HomeStars and when it finally went thru, our agent’s conduct became exemplary. He was there that evening.

Our agent arranged to get an installer to correct the door as soon as possible , which was two days later. There is no draft at that door now and we are quite pleased and thankful that Roddy and Yuri came by and had the draft on the door fixed along with a corrective measure to ensure the door retains its tight insulation.

We have had no problems with the other windows and doors installed by Clera

We had doors and windows installed by Clera Windows & Doors in August 2015. We were initially pleased with the quality.

In December of that year, we found a leak in our patio door because of the weather stripping either being inadequate or not installed properly. If one looks at the top of the double patio door, one can see day light in addition to feeling a severe draft.

My wife personally texted the Sales agent for Scarborough several times (on Jan 5th and 7th ) as well as left him a follow up voicemail. I myself called and left a voice mail too. She contacted the head office numerous times leaving messages for them at least twice (customer service and the owner/ president of Clera). The sales agent that we dealt with for the August install finally called me saying he would be there that evening or the next (i.e. 2 weeks ago). He never did show up nor did anyone from head office call us up to now.

This is very disappointing that Clera has such poor after sales service. There has been no communication or service from Clera whatsoever.

I will give them a 0/10 because they don't stand by their product problems. There is absolutely no regard from Clera with the troubles we are facing with their product. The whole point with replacing old windows and doors is to cut down on energy costs, but I am sure ours will be more than last winter due the draft in this one door.
We are contemplating contacting the Better Business Bureau as a result since we are unable to get this resolved by Clera or their team. The BBB can deal with them to get this resolved on our behalf.
