The Armstrong tiles we ordered was not a stock colour, therefore we were required to place a custom order for the colour we had chosen. 2-weeks go by and we go in to pick up the 4 boxes of tiles. When we open our box we find that they sent us boxes of the wrong colour. We go back to return them, to get the appropriate colour and the CUSTOMER SERVICE desk(which they seriously need to improve on) would not allow for us to return "special orders".
We couldn't believe that they made an error and wouldn't let us return the tiles. Apparently, we had written on our order form the tile colour number (ex. 12345) and we did in fact receive tile number 12345 - BUT if you look on the wall where the tiles were hanging for us to place the order, they must've put the wrong tile number sticker on the tile colour we wanted so we received the proper colour for the tile number 12345, but not the actual colour we wanted.
It was a nightmare, we tried to explain that to CUSTOMER SERVICE and they would just stand by their policy of no returns on SPECIAL ORDERS. I spoke with the Flooring Dept. guy and showed him how the order number is not the correct number on the tiles we wanted to receive. All he did was say, "hmmm ... that's not labeled properly".
We stood in CUSTOMER SERVICE (they seem like very miserable people there too) for over 30 minutes arguing this point and the many times we asked for the manager, none would come out! Finally Customer Service received a call to just let us return our tiles ... HOW HARD WAS THAT!!!
I hated that experience!

We bought our hardwood flooring which was a great deal, but trying to get helpful info. on installing the flooring was not so good. We will have a 1/4 inch hieght differnce from hardwood to ceramic. WE NEED HELP !!!!!

I decided to use Home Depot Installation services to do my new kitchen cabinets largely b/c they are endorsed by Mike Holmes. And indeed they did not disappoint. The price of the cabinets was good and the installers were on time and finished promptly. The kitchen looks magnificent! Thanks to the folks at Newmarket Home Depot for their help!

When I was looking for a bathroom cabinet I found one I liked on an overhead shelf at this branch of Home Depot. It took me over 10 minutes to find an employee to ask about the product. They didn't know anything but called for someone to get me the information. One half hour later and 3 members of the staff later I was no closer to getting the price let alone whether the item was in stock or when it would be available. As a woman shopper I was repeatedly left hanging while my staff person went off to aid a man or to answer their questions. I gave up and went away. Poor service, poorly trained staff and lack of general interest as well as a definite problem with gender bias.

When renovating our bathroom, we chose the Home Depot for our project due to their excellent prices. While the prices were great, and the quality was as expected, the service left something to be desired. It was difficult to find sales staff to assist us, which made the process somewhat frustrating! Overall, it is a great store to use in terms of prices, as long as you realize that finding sales assistants to help you may be time consuming.

When we decided to paint some of the rooms in our home, we went to Home Depot to get some ideas. They had a wide range of paint brands, and the colours within each brand were more than we could have imagined. Their price ranges were fair and allowed us to pick a quality paint at a price that matched our budget. Also, the staff at the mixing counter were wonderful at getting us what we needed in a timely fashion.

The associates in the store were extremly helpful and made sure I knew exactly what I was doing and had all the proper tools before I left!!!!

Would definatly use them again!!!

Compared to other HomeDepot stores I have been to, this one is one of the tops for their efficiency and knowledge in getting a painting project finished. They were able to help us choose the right type of paint for our exterior home painting project on our wood sided home. They even colour matched paint from a brand they did not carry. Their Behr paint line is tops - nice and thick! They also were very helpful in choosing the right brushes and cleanup materials. We had a great experience.
