service

Leon's in Burlington could not have done enough for me!! Being new to Canada and needing the basic furniture for our home, the staff were exceptional. Josh and Mario made me feel so at ease and I left feeling really excited about my new purchases!

mattress set

When the mattress set arrived, we noticed that the set is too high for our wall to wall head board, called customer service, she told me that I have to pay $ 50 to get it exchange to a low profile, because it was unwrapped, even though it was set up 10 minutes ago by Leon's driver. my husband told me, that we can only see if the box spring is too high after it was unwrapped and put the mattress on it. I called again another person answered and he too told me that I already spoke to the manager and to get it exchange there's a charge of $50 because it's already open. I told him that it was Leon's driver who set it up and in order to do it ,the box spring and mattress have to be unwrapped. My husband noticed that there are dirty hand prints on the mattress. He then told me that they will exchange the mattress. He (his name is Andy) told me to hold because he wants to check the delivery of the new mattress, a few minutes later he came back and told me that he spoke to another manager and not only will they exchange my mattress , I will get the low profile box spring for free.
We're very please with Andy, customer service representative at Leon's on Mclevin in Scarborough, and the manager he spoke too, to solve our problem.

Leather sectional couch

Purchased my couch from leons about two years ago. When it arrived I had to drive one piece back due to the bottom being too bent toattach to the other peices. They gave me $50 off. Two days later the support in the recliner broke in half. I called again, they said it sounds like my problem, they would have to send out a technician to see if they could ccover it. One month later the tech came out and said it wasn't my fault. Another month later they replaced the piece. About three months later the recliner pull cord ripped out of the couch. They wouldn't cover it. Shortly after that the leather in a seat cushion split. Now I must wait four months for a new seat for my couch. This piece of furniture was not cheap. They get frustrated with me on the phone like this is a normal thing and I'm lucky it has lasted a full two years. Heads up.

Couch

Placed order a week ago - no idea if I'll ever even get the crappy couch or not. I call, they place me on hold and won't come back. I've emailed 6 times now, nothing. Next step going to BBB and placing a stop on my credit card.

Couch, loveseat and TV

Our Leon's experience started out well. Great customer service when we went in and made our purchase at the Newmarket location. After that, however, it went downhill so fast. I could write a novel about how Leon's screwed us over, damaged our property, ignored our concerns, treated us rudely, blamed us for their mistakes, and provided us with a couch that was so cheaply put together that it broke the very first time someone sat on it. Our Leon's experience began with our initial purchase in early August 2013. It is now mid-November 2013 and we still aren't through with this nightmare of an experience...we still have to get reimbursed for the $1,000+ property damage they inflicted on us when attempting to deliver their garbage product. NEVER AGAIN. And I encourage Canada to stop shopping at this terrible company that makes itself out to be a family business and great Canadian success story, but behaves like a heartless corporation that swindles its customers.

"Pub Style" dining room furniture

Overpriced for seriously "under" quality furniture. We bought in October 2011 and barely use this set except when entertaining, and even then it's only gently used. The amount of scratches, dents on tabletop, rips in faux 'leather' seat covers, screws that won't stay in place is becoming hilarious (we'd rather laugh than cry about wasting our money shopping at Leon's). Never again...hell, yah!

Recliner

Early this year i bought a recliner from leon's. After less then nine months i was told that the cushion needed to be replaced because the chair leaned to one side. They have to have it sent from the states, that was over a month ago now. Once it does finally get here i have to wait till they have someone local book an appointment to install it. Leon's " customer service" is nowhere to be seen. I have called to see when its going to get here and I'm told one date then another. After filing a complaint with the company i was told that the manager of the store would be contacting me......still waiting for that. I bought the chair in the first place because i have troubles with my back and when i did have it i couldn't use it and now I'm waiting and getting very little help from the company. The sales people were very nice and helpful but the company's customer service is ridiculous.

Faux Leather Sofa

We bought a sofa for $1,000 in April 2012 and were sold a furniture warranty for $150 or 200 (or something) that would cover any tears or repairs the sofa would need for 5 yrs and guess what?? we believed the company. One year down the line, the sofa cushion's fabric just ripped on the slightest touch!!
I called the customer service and after 4 weeks of back and forth and the warranty guy coming over to take a pic of the cushion etc., i am told that the warranty doesnt cover the fabric parts of the sofa.. how convenient is that?? We were under the impression the entire sofa was covered... So much for buying from Leons. No more of them for us...

and then we discovered more rips on the sofa and all on the fabric parts.. the fabric quality is very cheap..

What a rip off!!

Recliner sofas

I bought 2 recliner sofas from Mississauga branch, after delivery I found that two recliners are not working. I called the branch for the sales rep, he put me thru to customer service, I was on hold for at least 15 mns, 5 people answered me asking the same questions, and finally they said a technician will call you tonight to come for investigation, 2 days passed by, no one calls, the sales rep is not answering my calls, customer care are so rude and has no clue. Over all very bad experience, never again. Too bad to buy new stuff, pay all this money and you end up with defected merchandise and no one even care to fix it.

Leather sofa

I am not at all happy with the leather sofa set that I purchased at Leon's. The warranty is a hoax and so are the business strategies, very cut throat. My furniture turned out pathetic and my genuine complaints went to deaf ears. Extended warranty has no value and it means nothing to either the manufacture or Leon's sales staff. I have been complaining for the longest time and has made many trips to the store but no one seems to care. They are handling my complaint quite unprofessionally. The staff is rude as if they are doing me any favours. My bill has no value. Sales staff has snubbed me many times. I don't know what to do!
