furniture

After ordering and paying for furniture at Leon's, I found out two weeks later that the order had been improperly placed. After six indepth calls to ascertain the delivery date of my furniture, I realized that the Leon's employees were simply telling me what I wanted to hear. Their sales department needs to take a course in ethics. Once they have one's money, this company doesn't care.
I still don't have my furniture.
It will eventually arrive. However, I'd never even stop by their store to use their toilet facilities.
They should be investigated by an objective consumer body.

delivery and customer service

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE
the sales person guaranteed that I would have all of my items in 2-4 weeks
this included, a complete bed, a chair, a dresser and a night stand with ALL of the parts required to assemble them. All was well until 4 weeks later after leaving them peacefully to do their jobs in peace. I have yet to receive my items. When contacted they said that the Items would take ANOTHER 2 weeks to arrive because they had failed to actually even place the orders for the items I had purchased. After 6 weeks of waiting for them to finally deliver the items the delivery truck finally arrived and I could not wait to be done with this store. Sadly enough a string of events caused them to have to take the box off of the headboard for the bed set I had purchased so that they could get it up the stairs in my home. After finally all done they then cleaned up after themselves which I thought was rather good of them at the time. It was not till later that I had discovered that the Necessary parts to actually assemble and hold the bed together were in the box with the headboard and the box they took with them to dispose of without even checking to see if there were any items inside I might need. So in short I am now having to wait another 2-4 weeks just to get the required parts to be able to assemble the bed.

It's ridiculous the type of service one receives after purchasing their crappy furniture - ordered a chair from them and was told 4-6 weeks for delivery which I accepted but here it is 6 weeks later and not one of those incompetent morons are able to give a Estimate Date of Arrival for their furniture - why have items displayed if its not available - first time shopping at Leon's and it will be the last - absolutely will be warning every Tom Dick & Harry NOT to shop here - DO NOT SHOP HERE - if you like pass the buck mentality then by all means run to this store BUT NEVER AGAIN!!! RUN FOR THE HILLS _ SERVICE SUCKS AND SO DO THE SALESMEN!!

Dining Room Table and Chairs

Purchased above item from good old LEON's (NOT) and it was delivered damaged on June 7th, 2013, contacted a CSR the next day to advise them of the damages and requested a return of the items as the table mechanism was not working proper and the sodier on one of the tables legs had let go plus two of the chairs were defective. I was told they would not take it back, spoke to the manager and said NO to a return, NO to my money back and NO store credit, as they would have to sell the set as Clearance, no kidding!!! They offer to send out a technician to repair the table, to which I replied, then my table is no longer new. He was not/not very help and finally called me back saying they would send out a new table, well the delivery came , June 12th, 2013 with only a table top and two chairs, NO LEGS, hence I rejected the delivery, CRS arranged another deliver for today June 18th, 2013 and they showed up again with just the table top and NO LEGS, refused delivery again. Hence here a sit with a broken table and still waiting to hear back from CRS @ Head Office. What kind of Customer Service is this. I have been a Customer of LEON's in the past (thank god with no damages) and will no longer be a Customer in the FUTURE. Have advised my family and several friends to deal with LEON's, I would still like my MONEY BACK or at least a STORE CREDIT. What is the problem????????? Sincerely unsatisfied customer. Janet

Dining room

do not accept repairing NEW product.

when you are getting Leon's Furniture delivered DO NOT SIGN for it or LET THE DELIVERY person drive away until you've seen the shape of the merchandise. If its damage to not accept it! Pay on your credit card. You can reverse the payment if Leons gives you a hassle.

TV Extended Warrantys

I made a purchase at Leons Woodstock as well, TV all bells and whistles $3250. with Extended Warranty two years later it don't work . It's over two months and counting that it been getting repaired . I'm tired of it I'll see Leons in small claims court. I'll keep you's informed Jun.18/13 settlement conf.

Delivery service

We payed for a daybed before been informed that it is not in stock, bur assured it will be delivered in 2-3weeks. After 4!!! weeks and not a word form salesman, I call and found the bed arrived but only be delivered in 3 day. Guess what... delivery available only on day and time (2 hrs window) when I'm not home! No sympathy from customer service"You have to reschedule". My only comfort I will NEVER deal with Leon's again!

Bought Furniture

I had the WORST experience of my life, i did teh purchase on 7th Dec 2012 and today sitting on 8th Jan 2013 i have still not recieved the entire stuff and each time i call customet care i am being pushed like football and the stuff that has come is somewhat damaged , cant even think of contacting them for replacement....Its a torture

Sectional Couch

I also had a horrible experience at the Woodstock store! We bought our first new couch from this store about a month ago. When it was delivered the chaise lounge was already broken. We have scheduled a tech to come repair it and have already had to reschedule twice. Once due to the fact that he wouldn't be in the area for a week. Then again, because the day he was supposed to be in the area he was unavailable for our booked appointment. We spent just over $2800 on the sectional after taxes. They wouldn't honor their integrity pricing when the same sofa at the same store came on sale 3 weeks later, as we had bought an additional item on at the same time, so we "didn't qualify". We went into the store in person to speak to someone, and were repeated told the store manager was "too busy" to speak to us. Same thing, as the woman with the elderly parents who wanted to exchange the chair, we wanted to return the couch. It didn't even make delivery and was broken. They refused as it was considered used goods, all sales final. We are infuriated with the customer service as well as the product. I would strongly recommend that anyone searching for new furniture of any kind go elsewhere. I also sent an email to their head office over a week ago, and to date have not heard a response. I have told all family and friends (as well as anyone else I've come in contact with) to go elsewhere. There is a small independent furniture place just down the street. We were in a rush to get the furniture due to the holidays, but I wish I would have waited the extra 2 weeks for delivery and gotten a better product, as well as service. I won't ever shop Leon's or the Brick in future endeavors. Perhaps the owner of the Leon's store in Woodstock Ontario, will consider this type of feedback, before he looses all future customers. I know my family and friends won't be back.

Purchased a TV, 2 night stands and a dining room table

We had a terrible experience with Leon's, right from the beginning. We purchased a TV and dining room table. Because the commission had to be split between the electronics salesperson and the furniture salesperson, it took about 45 minutes for us to pay when it was time to check-out.
A few days later we decided we wanted to upgrade our TV to a better one. We called in and they said that it would definitely be possible but that we'd have to wait for the person that sold us the TV to be on and call us back as it would affect her commission. We waited a week and didn't receive a call from them. When we called again to check, we were put on hold about 5 times. Each time the operator would pick-up she would ask "sorry, who are you holding for?" and we would explain. 5 times. We were finally able to reach the salesperson and upgraded the TV. She said we'd need to go into the store physically to pay the difference. We agreed and went in. Of course, this procedure too was complicated and took about 30 minutes at the check-out counter.
Then we went to the pick-up area (the TV was in stock). We waited for 40 minutes for our TV. 4 people came and went after us with their orders and we were left waiting with no explanation. When we pointed out the sign that said: "if you do not receive your order in 20 minutes, please speak to a manager," we were ignored. At last, after repeteadly asking about our order, it was given to us.
The days our table was to be delivered to our home we received a call from the delivery personnel saying they would be at our apartment within an hour. Sure enough, within the hour we receive a call from the delivery man rudely saying "I'm getting ready to just about leave here." Confused, we asked if he was here and why he hadn't called us to let us know. He said that he was here and that the concierge had let him in as we had told him but that the elevators were taking too long and he didn't have time to wait.
We are still waiting for our nightstands to be delivered. It's been 3 weeks since we bought them and they are out of stock. They said we'll be notified when we receive them. Let's hope they redeem themselves with this last bit of the order.
