Installed Regency Alterra Sm. 1250 Wood Insert

Their friendly meet-and-greet in store was warm, welcoming and informative, so purchasing decision felt comfortable. Establishing installation date was quick and clean like actual job on-site. The pre-install fireplace inspection was equally satisfying. Clean-up was thorough for 3 h task. A very caring, professional experience.

New wood burning stove

I went to Marsh's showroom after visiting a number of fireplace stores and the difference was obvious from the start. The showroom is large and down to earth and a number of products are set up so you could see how they functioned. Al was extremely knowledgeable about the products, came to do a site visit and met with my contractor to make sure everything was done right. The Morso stove I purchased was a higher end product but the prices overall were much more reasonable than other fireplace shops. Installation was quick and perfect and I love the result. Couldn't be happier.

Supply and install gas fireplace

Two years ago on recommendation of our neighbour,we hired Marsh's to install a new gas fireplace. Installation was quick on time and excellent however there were ongoing problems with the pilot. Even though out of warranty, they worked patiently with us to solve the problem at not cost to us. Jim M.

purchase, install 2 fireplaces

I found the quality of service and the product to be excellent. Allan had very good ideas for installation, and the crew did a great job. We bought a Valor insert and a Regency direct vent and are very happy with both.

Gas fireplace & 1 year later assistance

Last year when renovating/insulating my house I knocked down a wall to discover the brick-filled fireplace I suspected was hiding behind shoddy contracting all along. I decided to pick up a gas fireplace for heating, and eventually settled on Marsh's after several local friends had suggested them.

A fireplace design was picked, price checked out versus the competition, the install was scheduled and all went according to plan. Long story short, I bought the mantle from another vendor, did the install myself a year later, and ran into some snags (the hearth required the fireplace to be lifted by ~2"). I had to call 'em back to help relocate the air splitter box which was hitting the masonry in the wall. Marsh's staff were quick, fair, and the bill was very reasonable, I really couldn't be happier. Everything looks great now.

Direct vent gas fireplace

Very happy with the service. Everyone was very attentive. John helped with the planning to place the TV above the fireplace. He also helped with the decorative stones in the fireplace. Highly recommended.

Valor H4 Gas Fireplace

Our builder-installed fireplace was entirely unsafe for our child; the fireplace was way too hot and made the glass so dangerous if touched. We selected our Valor H4 Series fireplace because it had an adjustable temperature range (6,500 - 24,000 BTU), came with a good-looking and unobtrusive safety screen, and was attractive and modern. Our initial installation did not go as planned, however, Alan (the Owner) made sure to make everything right and did an excellent job of making sure we were completely satisfied. Sometimes, when things do not go exactly as planned, it is how the company responds that indicates how good or bad they are, and I can say that Marsh's response was very impressive! We are extremely happy with all the work that was done and I would definitely go with them again in the future. Great work! and thanks to Alan, John and Willem.

Regency Alterra CI1250 wood insert, installation and materials

Thanks to Alan Baroey and the team at Marsh's Stoves & Fireplaces we enjoy a great wood stove insert at our place and the great feeling of knowing that the job was done right! And that we made the right decision choosing Marsh's Stoves & Fireplaces to fulfill our project!

Before Alan and Marsh's, we had become disheartened about the idea of having a wood insert installed in our fireplace. We had spent considerable time exploring the idea of a wood insert installed in our fireplace doing the online research, making phone calls and on-site visits, shopping around and receiving the pricing info. After visiting a few shops, having talked with their representatives in person, I did not feel that I could trust them with installing anything in our home.

Fortunately we decided to visit Marsh's Stoves and Fireplaces. After seeing their showroom, talking with their staff and especially after meeting Alan, I regained confidence about fulfilling our project. They have the biggest showroom and the largest selection of wood and gas stoves and stove inserts that I have seen in Toronto. The staff in the showroom helped to narrow down the options available to us in our case. We received excellent advice, were presented sensible options, were explained cons and pros. The entire experience of dealing with Marsh's made me feel confident and worry-free about the entire process from choosing a right wood insert for our fireplace to having it properly and timely installed.

Alan Baroey, the owner, is very professional, knowledgeable, helpful, most importantly willing to help, knows his trade, listens to the customers, knows what he talks about, and I think he is enthusiastic about what he does. He is a real pleasure to deal with.

We made arrangements for Alan to do the on-site inspection and provide us with a detailed quote. We also used this opportunity to discuss, ask more questions and listen to his advice and suggestions on site. Alan also made some notes for the installers and accurately estimated the time it would take to do the installation in our case. After meeting with Alan on site I knew the job would be done right.

I already had a good understanding of the prices on the market. After receiving the detailed quote later that day, I knew we had been offered good prices. I clarified the warranty on labor and parts, we agreed on the deposit, struck the deal, and scheduled the installation for the next available date as we did not want to delay it.

The installers are WETT certified. They arrived on time, acted professionally, respectfully listened and answered to my requests and questions. The installation took the estimated duration which I was pleasantly surprised with since our installation case was not exactly simple. The job was done cleanly. After the insert was installed, the installers walked me through the installation details and the important information on using the wood stove, especially during the first few times.

And since the winter this year took its time to leave, we had plenty of opportunities to enjoy our new wood insert and the added warmth to our house, and were very thankful to Marsh's Stoves & Fireplaces for our new wood insert!

Although it has been a couple of months since we had it installed, I am taking this time to thank Alan and his team at Marsh's Stoves & Fireplaces. I am pleased with the job done and with how effortless and worry-free the entire process was made for the customers. This is truly great service.

If you are looking for wood or gas stove/insert, Marsh's Stoves & Fireplaces is the only place to turn to: the biggest showroom with the largest selection of different kinds of stoves, knowledgeable staff, excellent sensible advice, WETT certified installers. And the owner is a pleasure to deal with.

Fireplace accessories

Recently, when we had our remote damaged for our gas fireplace, we tried to find a replacement. Marsh's was the only fireplace store in town that would spend the time on a small sale to source the remote - all other stores wanted us to spend more than twice as much buying a whole new system for our gas fireplace. I echo the other comments here: the folks at Marsh's are incredibly helpful, very knowledgable, and not the most expensive. That combination is unbeatable.

We have a wood fireplace and two gas fireplaces, so I don't need any more, but the service was so great that while in the store I started dreaming of installing one of their wood stoves someplace. One of the best customer experiences I've had in a long, long time. I'll find a reason to be a customer again.
