New Water Plumbing

New Water Plumbing was listed as the recommended license plumber for my condo building. We had a clog in a toilet which I could not clear using plungers, drain clearing chemicals and etc... Calling them up, they answered and arrived to service the toilet as expected. The toilet was eventually cleared using an auger (toilet snake) and was told it was just a typical clog up of waste and toilet paper that may have been too thick for the flushing power of the toilet (Charmin brand). The entire process took 1.5hrs, which somewhat lengthy for a toilet clearing task. On top of that I was charged a rental fee for the auger. The fee was a ridiculous $25, which is about half the cost of one if I bought it myself. I agreed to pay because the job in the end was completed however I did not appreciate being told time and materials are charged when in fact I kept no materials. I'm fine with being charged the time.

The plumber informed me that many customers have complained about the rental charge and that I should speak with the manager/owner. I attempted to call them regarding this 3 times and left messages and never heard back from them. I will not call New Water Plumbing again for my future plumbing needs. I will also make an effort to take them off my condo's list of recommended plumbers.

Had them at my place to install the tub. The work was completed but the overflow wasn't installed correctly. Upon repeated visit they corrected the problem but to my surprise charged the work on my credit card that I had provided for the previous work. They cannot be trusted. DO NOT hire them to do any work.

The problem was internal water leaks while useing the shower and the washing machine located on the 3rd floor of a townhouse. Whe water was leaking through the ceiling of the 2nd floor in a couple of spots. The technician came, cut two holes in the ceiling of the 2nd floor, started the water running in the sink on the 3rd floor, and asked the tenant to indicate from the 2nd flooor when the water starts coming down. Water started coming down, the technician came to look through the holes in the ceiling and said he needs a snake. He went back to the ofice to get the snake. Came back, snaked a drain (not sure which one exactly), ran water in the sink again, said all was fine and left. Did not reply to the question asked by the tenant as to where the water was leaking from. Total net time spent in the house 1 hour and 40 minutes.
I was not satisfied because I wanted to know the soource of the leak and how the water was actually getting into the ceiling below, so the next morning I called the service to inquire about that. Rob in the service department said he would investigate and call me back. He did not cal me back. The same night the tenant started the washing machine, and the water resumed leaking into the interior of the house coming out of the holes cut in the ceiling by the technician. I called Rob the following morning to tell him that the problem was still there. Rob has not spoken to the technician yet. He offered an explanation that the snake could have pierced the walls of the pipe. Also said that the problem could be more complicated, and they may need to remove the ceiling to find it. Said he will call me after speaking with the technician. Called after a few hours and said that when technician left there was no leak, and they would have to send someone to check further (obviously on my account). I said I do not know if I can trust their competence. At which time he said, "OK. Goodby Sir", and hang up on me. That is my story with these guys.

The guys were okay service. But they misquoted us for a price on the phone. THey did not mention that they'd charge us for tools use. They specifically did not mention it. Furthermore, because we'd already given our credit card number they charged anyway, even when I disputed the charge. These guys are crafty. However, the guy who came to my house was very nice. Therefore, I'd suggest that you not give them your credit card number if you decide to use them.

New Water Plumbing has been a company who I have know for many years. They are always eager to solve your plumbing needs. All of the staff are well qualifed and extremely nice.

Have been recommending this company for years after working with them through the condo business.

Second time I used this company. First time no problems with work or with price. This time, what should've been a straightforward job was dragged out. Parts charges PVC small elbows (2), glue, etc. almost $200. Ridiculous. Quality good, but the pricing is exhorbitant. They are no good on responding to phone calls or messages. Really disappointed.

We had a leaky bathroom faucet. We tried doing a quick fix ourselves with no luck. It's 9pm, and faucet is leaking like crazy. So we call these guys up, and they're able to come an hour later! They have extremely reasonable prices as well.

Poor experience and bad complaint resolution process. I called this company as it was listed in our condo's list of plumbing contractors. It was my first time dealing with a big plumbing company. They fooled me right from the start. When i called to make an apointment to check out a water leak problem in the kitchen, they asked a few questions appropriately. Then when it came time to book the apointment, the person on the phone asked for my credit card number. When asked why, they said it was to guarantee the reservation. AT NO TIME did they say there will be a charge automatically to my credit card for anything. So they came at the correct time. They checked out the problem and said it was not a plumbing issue. They left without me signing any papers or telling me I would be charged. Next week, I received a SIGNED bill of a signature that is NOT mine. I was charged for 2 things. When i called to find out why i was charged, the manager ABSOLUTELY refuses to acknowledge that I was not told anything about an automatic charge just for dropping by. She also could not explain one of the charges and when I told them I am willing to sue for the resolution of the case they were completely mad at me and threatened me to go ahead and sue. Visa refused to help as they said it's my fault I gave them my cc number no matter what reason. So in the end I did not sue as it will cost too much and I feel robbed as they actually FAKED my signature on the bill.
