Canalfa Liberty Village

CanAlfa is a very poor developer. When i took possession on my unit occupancy date - the washer flooded the unit - I was advise this was purposely block/done by the construction worker - the drain pipe was full of paper - the water destroyed the floor WHICH I HAD TO PAY TO REPLACE!! Kitchen was full of black mole - took them 4 months to correct. The ceiling which i paid for to keep in its original condition is full of marking and writing including boot foot print. The door frame was installed chipped and the hall way is in a wave. Very, very poor craftmanship.

I have to give Canalfa an A+ for being ambitious in redeveloping the Liberty Village area. We now have a very nice neighbourhood in what was once a desolate area. However, I would have to give them a B- for their development. In an effort to keep costs reasonable (i.e., make more money) we are still left with a long list of deficiencies that have yet to be resolved - and it's been 4 years now for some of the homeowners here at LVTO. We're hitting that critical 5 year milestone when things are going to start to break or go out of warranty. Examples: a complex heating and A/C system that was no longer manufactured when it was installed, ongoing issues with rooftop leaks and substandard doors installed.

inefficient furnace and air conditioning system, lots of noise from other units, the staff wasn't anything exceptional. We were looking for more quality but overall it was mediocre.
