Purchased couch August 2015. Delivered in September so weve had it for about 8 months.
First, the pullout bed is horrible, with a bar going across the middle of your back but ok, theyre usually not the most comfortable.....I can live with this.
Second, cushions are faded, the fabric around some of the couch is loose and not stitched properly, the couch looks like its 10 years old.....unacceptable. That is a clear indication the quality is not great. See pictures Ive attached.
Third and last but not least, the wood that holds the couch together, completely separated(we are pretty small people, average size at best. Im 190 lbs). It scratched our wooden floor beneath it, it leaves the left side of couch sagging to the point you cant sit on it right now. It leaves us with only one chair in our family room of 4 people and nothing for me to lay down after a 15 hr work day... So I understand that products can fail from time to time, maybe someone had a bad work day and didnt put the same effort or quality into this item we purchased. No problem, thats the real world but.....but.....but we paid for an extended warranty, now its as though, we should be accepting the fact that not all the problems will be fixed because of the "fine print". So theyre coming to pick the couch up, take it for a minimum of one week to put the wood pieces back together. SO Im out a couch for at least a week. Theyre only fixing the wood piece that separated but what about the rest. We paid for a warranty to protect us, fix or replace, whatever is wrong with the couch and at this point, its all factory defects. Not like any of this was our doing. Theyre going to send it back to us with only one problem fixed. Do not buy the extended warranty, there is no point. Dont accept any furniture deliveries unless the item is perfect because you wont have an easy time dealing with afterwards and honestly, as much as I had pride in my purchase from Ashley for the first few months, even the fact that I had gone to Ashleys, thinking Im treating my family to a quality furniture provider.....No. I have this piece of garbage that I will likely put on the curb the next garbage day we have where they take everything.
