Handy Pros

This has been a unique experience to me; something I did not expect. Les, Tim, John and the rest of the Handyman Matters team were gentlemen all; they were responsive, knowledgeable, dependable, were tremendously courteous and helpful when approached. During the renovation my family and I moved to a small condo nearby, leaving the entire content of my condo in the guest room and in the solarium. Les and I communicated mainly through emails. Les was reliable, organized and very quick to answer all my questions during the renovation. He was particularly careful with the installation of the oven microwave combo due to the appliances being more heavy than usual. The appliances were installed a month ago and we have used them many times already.

The job involved:
- Demolition of 3 bathrooms, re-tiling, installation of new shower floor, bathtub, toilets, medicine cabinets, baseboards, new in- floor heating system, electrical, etc.
- Demolition of old kitchen, re-tiling, installing new backsplash, baseboard, installation of a super heavy oven/microwave combo into an Ikea cabinet, range hood and connecting all the appliances, etc.

Right from the start this company is professional and reliable and they do the job right. Les, the owner came by to give us the estimate.
Tony and Jerome gutted the washroom and right from the start, they were careful, and polite. Jerome did the majority of the work after the gutting as Tony is part-time. What a good job he did. He is very meticulous paying attention to fine detail. He cleaned up after himself every day before leaving. He takes pride in his work and told me he treats his customer's home as if it was his own. His end result was excellent, we were very pleased. Jerome even went out of his way to sand our ceiling. This was not in the contract and although it was not a big job, Jerome still made the effort to sand it and save my husband the work later. We were very grateful for this extra effort.
The job finished when they said they would.
Les came out every other day to inspect the work in progress .
If you hire this company you will not be disappointed but left happy and worry free with the end result.
Good reliable companies are rare to find these day especially at reasonable prices.

Les and crew did a complete renovation on my kitchen. Everything was removed (floors, walls, cabinets) and they did a fantastic job on the remodel. They are highly skilled in all aspects - floors, walls, fixtures, cabinet installation, plumbing, everything. I highly recommend them - not just for the small jobs, but for the larger projects as well. And they're very pleasant to work with.

Les re-did a step-in shower for us last year, with the new WEDI shower system, new shower valve, porcelain tile, timed ventilation fan and glass door. Additionally, Les installed a timed exhaust fan in another bath and replaced the carpet outside the shower stall with porcelain tile. Les showed up in the morning, worked late everyday for the whole week until the job was done. He left the jobsite clean at the end of each day. We are pleased with the end result and with the experience. We would hire Les again.

The smoke detectors and the carbon monoxide detectors in my townhouse are hard-wired and needed to be replaced (they were 10 years old). I am not handy and searched the internet for a handyman I could hire to install them. I called Handyman Matters based on a Google Search. I spoke with Carol who gave me an appointment for the next day - she suggested I make a list of 'odd job' items that needed to be done in my home in the event the handyman finished before the hour was up! Who does this?? Handyman Matters does. Les was punctual and polite and even offered to vacuum when he was done! I would love to keep Handyman Matters as my own little secret -but here I am sharing them with all of you. Please consider them for your next job - for me, the price was reasonable and the service priceless!

We had a great experience with this company, We got three different quotes and this company had the most reasonably priced quote. I happened to be off while they were doing the work. They worked for two days, cleaned up after themselves and did excellent work.

I have used this company on many occasions for odd jobs and handywork around my home. I cant express how grateful I am for their prompt and professional service. My questions are always answered and my little projects are always completed. Thank you!

I was referred to Handyman Matters by a friend who had work done by their company. I obtained 2 quotes. Handyman was on par with the other but they listened to my needs & made suggestions that were valid considerations. The quote was detailed & precise so I decided to hire them based on the recommendation & their professional"ism". Their team was on time every day, the job site was kept clean & was tidied up each evening before their departure. Any alterations to the project were thoroughly discussed & approved by me as we went along. Their follow up since has been superb. I am very happy to say that my hot/humid summer was spent on my new deck in total enjoyment. I can highly recommend this company & look forward to dealing with them on other projects in the future.
