Our furnace quite running on the weekend during the winter . As the unit is quite old I opened the front panel discovered that the pilot was not burning and would not remain burning upon being re-lit . I suspected the thermocouple has failed.
I Called Robin at Arctic Wolf who came to the house on a Sunday, confirmed the thermocouple has failed an replaced it.
The total price was more than fair (less than the Sunday call out premium charged by another contractor I had contacted)
Once the repair was complete Robin took the time to answer some questions I had regarding sourcing and installing a replacement for my old furnace (not a simple operation in my home)
I will have no reservations in using Robin again in the future.

Earlier this month, my heating furnace decided to stop working on a weekend. The blower fan would turn on, but the furnace would not ignite and eventually shut down. I called two furnace repair companies on a Sunday, but only Robin of Arctic Wolf Heating Inc. returned my call. He confirmed he would be able to come by later in the afternoon to take a look at the furnace. Upon arrival, he tested all the electrical components and ensured the fan motor was operating properly. The initial diagnosis suggested a faulty thermostat and a recommendation to replace it. In the meantime, Robin hooked up a temporary thermostat, tested the furnace three times to ensure it was functioning properly and scheduled a follow-up visit the following Friday to install the new thermostat I ordered from him. The day of his follow-up visit, Robin called to ask if he could defer his appointment. Calgary was going through a cold snap and other clients with more immediate and urgent heating problems required him to re-prioritize his schedule, which I agreed.

The next day, the furnace decided to quit igniting again. Compounding the problem, Robin’s truck broke down and needed a new radiator. Robin called, was very apologetic and promised to find an alternate vehicle for the following day. The next day (Sunday), Robin called ahead to confirm he will be able to come check my furnace. Upon his arrival, he re-tested all the components, replaced the flame sensor that was past its warranty, ensured there was no blockage to the outside heating vents and installed my new thermostat. This time, Robin correctly determined that the furnace was not properly igniting because it was not getting enough air through the air intake pipe, re-oriented the pipe to increase the airflow and re-tested the furnace several times. All of this was done at no additional charge. The furnace is now working properly.

One company even booked us an appointment, but never showed up. While other companies said then could come next week or sorry we won't come in the evening. We moved into our house in late spring, and I wasn't sure when the furnace had last been serviced, so I asked Robin to do a service check up, just to make sure it was running smoothly. He came by the next day, checked everything, and showed me how to change the filters (different type than our old house.) Our furnace broke down in the winter and we needed someone to come diagnose and repair the issue. Arctic Wolf came out and was able to determine that the ignition control module had a failing contact. A replacement part had to be sourced and installed on a subsequent visit. The part worked and no further problems were experienced for the remainder of the heating season.

The service was acceptable and the pricing was approximately what we expected. Good experience overall.

Arctic Wolf installed a humidifier to our furnace. I chose Arctic Wolf due to the great feedback they have received on this site. I left a message with the company and received a call back within the day. Robin was able to fit us in the next day to do the install on the humidifier. He was professional, did a fantastic job and explained everything to us when he was done. I would highly recommend Arctic Wolf to anyone. We were definitely pleased with their service.

Artic wolf heating did a exceptional job at being there when they said they would. He was good with my tenants which is important to a landlord. He did a very professional job of the furnace installation. I would highly recommend their services again.
