Furnace rentals

The absolute worse company to deal with. It has been a nightmare. I had a furnace installed in 2022 and was told there would be no payments for 6 months. A month later they tried to take $400.00 from my account. My bank didn't approve the withdrawal, maybe because they red flagged this company. I called reminding them I had 6 months payment free and they grudgingly took two months off. I called again and told them it was 6 months...not 2. Customer service is ridiculous no servicing or filter has ever been done that is included in the contract. I pay every month like clockwork and have gotten hundreds of emails and phone calls (I am keeping all of them).all because they refuse to honor their commitment and give me the 4 months I was promised. I am probably their best customer yet the harassment is ongoing. What zi would like is for reliance to come and take their damn furnace so I can buy one from a more reputable dealer. AVOID this company like the plague

Install replacement under counter kitchen lighting

This company has a $99.00 for an assessment plus a quote on the job.
We paid $157.50 for the assessment and quoted $250.00 hourly rate.
Called Reliance to discuss this matter and receptionist refused to give me the name of the manager or transfer them to me.

Further more sourcing the parts would also be $250.00 an hour.
We got the impression he quoted us by the seat of his pants thinking we could pay his exorbitant price.

Not trying to cure cancer here; just get undercounter lighting!

False advertising poor customer service

Reliance doesnt stand by their own policy! When they say they will refund you the $99.00 service call if you get the repairs completed by them. New furnace install on June 20th and almost 2 months and still no refund. I have been told by Corey our home comfort advisor its in the works!! I tried to give you guys a chance and make this right. I have even called the main office 2 times and asked for a manager to call me. Guess what no call!! Very disappointed and will never recommend this company as they cant follow their own policies and follow through with their promise!!

False Advertising

When I signed up for the service contract, the advertising makes it appear that one should expect speedy service when in trouble with my furnace. I have not had this experience. Twice my furnace has broken down, in January both times. When I called for a service repair I had to wait 2 days the first time. It was -30C, and since we live in a very cold climate, I had to find a private person to temporarily fix it until the reliance technician appeared. It seemed that the lady that took my call, who lives in a warm climate, could not understand this. Then again, I woke up to a cold house on January 1st, . I called the reliance company and again they booked my service for over 24 hours later. We are thankful for the mild weather, as would have been a huge concern otherwise. We are seniors and need to look for ways to manually heat 2 rooms so we can live in it. It seems a private company would be more prompt in a service call. It is disappointing as I pay monthly, for what is suppose to be a piece of mind and no stress for us . Definitely would not recommend this company.

Least reliable company I've dealt with in decades!

Reliance installed my new furnace on September 27th, but were unable to complete it. They lacked a chimney insert as required by code, had cut and left open holes in our ceiling to vent the furnace, and installed the very basic thermostat they told me was necessary. They promised to return "next week " to remedy the deficiencies.
We're now six weeks later, and nothing from Reliance. In response to my repeated requests, nothing!! I'd like the chimney insert installed to meet code, the holes in the ceiling covered as they are ugly, and my Nest thermostat reinstalled. Their basic unit is little more than an "on/off" switch.

The installation team showed up on time and explained everything in details. They were able to explain everything along the way and showed me whats happening. They ensure I understood everything before leaving. I truly appreciate their professionalism.

Furnace, air install

Had furnace air install in May. Has failed city inspection twice still waiting for fix in August. No return calls from anyone anymore save your $ go with someone else, period.

Air Conditioning

Just wanted to say that this company is awesome. They were friendly, considerate, for both the sales and installation team. My father had them in last year, for the same service and it was excellent service both times. I would recommend them to everyone.
