When I signed up for the service contract, the advertising makes it appear that one should expect speedy service when in trouble with my furnace. I have not had this experience. Twice my furnace has broken down, in January both times. When I called for a service repair I had to wait 2 days the first time. It was -30C, and since we live in a very cold climate, I had to find a private person to temporarily fix it until the reliance technician appeared. It seemed that the lady that took my call, who lives in a warm climate, could not understand this. Then again, I woke up to a cold house on January 1st, . I called the reliance company and again they booked my service for over 24 hours later. We are thankful for the mild weather, as would have been a huge concern otherwise. We are seniors and need to look for ways to manually heat 2 rooms so we can live in it. It seems a private company would be more prompt in a service call. It is disappointing as I pay monthly, for what is suppose to be a piece of mind and no stress for us . Definitely would not recommend this company.
