The Mold Guy, Mold Detection & Removal

I hired the Mold Guy to remove mold from the sheathing in the attic of our new home. The gentlemen that came to complete the work were very professional. They explained everything they needed to do and every step they were going to take in order to get the job done. They cleaned up everything after they were finished and showed me the completed areas before asking for payment. I would definitely hire them in the future if I encounter any more mold issues.

Dealing with the front desk (brittany) was great and she answered all questions and concerns. They quickly had a team (diego and justin) out to my house to removal a portion of my dry wall and insulation. The mold was removed and the whole area was treated. Everyone was professional and friendly and there were no hidden/unexpected costs. I would recommend

The Mold Guy team was very easy to work with throughout the process. I found some mold between the drywall and baseboards under a window in my basement. They removed the mold quickly and efficiently, diagnosed the issue, and gave me some tips on how to prevent water from entering through the window.

UPDATE - June 3 2018

After a heavy rainfall a few days after The Mold Guy came in to remove the mold, water entered through the basement but did not appear to be coming in from the window. I called in several waterproofing companies, and all of them concluded that the water was coming in the basement through a crack in the foundation.

I realize that The Mold Guy are not foundation experts, but I was told that they would find the source of water entering the basement. I relied on their experience. I was only going to recaulk the windows based on their recommendations, then close up the walls. I made contact with them to express my displeasure with their findings, and I have not heard back - it's been approximately 2 months.

For these reasons, I have changed my rating to a 5/10.

Phil and crew arrived 5 minutes earlier than expected - 6:55 a.m.! They were extremely professional, friendly, and clean. Phil gave us a very clear understanding as to what our problem was and the work was performed with much less disruption or noise than we anticipated. Kay from the office was a breath of fresh air, given that we were calling her in a panicked and frightened state. She arranged for remediation sooner than we could have imagined. All-in-all, this company made a difficult situation much less scary and we would not hesitate to recommend them.

Our tenant called in a panic to say she had found what she thought was black mold in the bedroom. We called the Mold Guy and explained the situation and that it was urgent. Brittany worked and managed to get us an appointment that same afternoon. Not only that but the results are in just 2 days later. NO MOLD!! We are thrilled and the tenant is ecstatic!!! We are thrilled with the service we received in every way.

We had had some dampness in the basement carpet and with my allergies really acting up, I wanted to make sure there was no mold. Got a referral from a real estate agent friend. I wanted to make sure that we would get accurate results. (Had heard stories from people who had unnecessary work done). Inspection was on time, thorough, they took time to examine everything and sample results were back in two days. We got a clean bill of health!

The Mould Guy offers excellent service. They were here within 3 days of my call. Ross was terrific - very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. As he inspected the house, and set up the air testers, he was also kind enough to offer advice on projects we could undertake ourselves to improve the waterproofing and mould resistance in our house.
