Grate Drain Ontario No Longer In Business

Still waiting on completion of a job I already paid for 1 year ago.

After saying I needed 3 sump pumps for my basement, they only bothered to hook up two. Ivan from Grate Drain left my basement with a hole in the slab for 4 months. After 4 MONTHS of begging and pleading, they finally came to 'finish', and while they did fill in the stinking hole, the third pump is STILL not connected or wired and they left an unholy mess to boot. No response to my texts or calls or emails for months now.

Ivan was also contracted to insulate the pump room. That didn't happen either so my finished basement is unuseable in winter. 1/3 of my house is uninhabitable for 3/5ths of the year.

My basement does not leak anymore which is great and I am thankful for the job they did. However where they did the work a sink hole has been created which is now affecting the dirt under my driveway. Ian promised me free grading in the spring which is now and I have left messages and I even spoke with Keith and no one has aknowledged my concerns as of yet. If they do the free grading as they promised that sink hole would be addressed and then they would not be a problem anymore. Very dissatisfied with your follow up.

Ivan's quick response and thorough investigation identified the problem, and pending problems. The courteous and tidy crew gave us a dry and beautifully improved basement. We highly recommend Grate Drain.

My basement was a nightmare with constant flooding and high levels of iron. Ivan installed Grate Drain perimeter drain and my basement is nice and dry!! He recently showed me how to flush the system out maintenance is easy and efficient. Having ports is the way to go best system out on the market.

Grate Drain Of Ontario was able to help us out in repairing the foundation leak we had. They came in removed all drywall and laminate floor, repaired the foundation with a life-time warranty and rebuilt the basement as if nothing ever happened. Great staff and crew, easy to deal with. I had a leak in my basement. I contacted Grate Drain to obtain a quote for a sub-pump as I was told from a previous company, that wold solve my issue. Ivan from Grate Drain got back to me right away and came out and did an inspection. Once the inspection was completed he advise the work to fix this issue was more than just installing a sub-pump. He gave me an very fair price and work started immediately. The Service was excellent and they also put the room back for me which was great..one stop shopping. The staff was very friendly, paid very close attention to details and ensured that the works was done to my satisfaction. This is a company I will use again and recommend . I recently had a Sump pump failure at my home in Brampton. Ivan showed up within a few hours to replace the Sump pump. They saved me from a flooded basement and precious family photos I had stored. Afterwards Ivan took the time and recommended I put in a new battery backup. Scott the forman showed up the next day and the installed the battery backup for me. Scott was very helpful and professional. I would recommend Grate Drain Ontario to everyone. Now i have peace of mind that my basement and valuables are safe.

Our basement was completely flooded. It took 3 days for insurance to show up. After they showed up 4 weeks later still no quote or resolution for our problem. Ivan from Grate drain showed up the same day we called him and provided us with an estimate dealt with insurance for us and within 2 ½ weeks had fully gutted our basement, waterproofed and installed a new back water valve. 2 weeks after the job was finished the first company that showed up asked us if we needed the work done lol Thanks to Grate Drain we were already enjoying our basement again.
