Jason and his team were true professionals and easy to work with. The quality of their work is
exceptional (I've seen the shoddy work done by others in my neighbourhood who still have water issues). The crew came early, worked long and hard and made sure everything was done well. When the home inspection industry fails you, and you realize, years later, that the end result is a home with major foundation issues, I am so grateful that Ottawa Foundation Contractors were there to completely save the day AND my sanity!

A combination of a sump pump failure in April 2013 and previously unknown foundation leaks in my 60 year old home had me pretty much freaking out with no idea where to turn, and most of all, worried that I would be taken advantage of and overcharged for the job. While other estimates all were in agreement that all four sides of the home had to be completely dug out , repaired, waterproofed and a new weeping tile system installed, only Ottawa Foundation Contractors provided as detailed a work schedule and outline of the required process, step by step. I knew EXACTLY what was included so that there were no assumptions or misunderstandings as the work went on.

This was a huge job, and it didn’t take long for me to realize that no matter how many shovels you own, this is a project best left to the pros! From the get-go, Larry, the project estimator inspired confidence that this company would do this right, and I so appreciate how Ziad worked with me on the financing end of all of this to make it happen. Ryan and his team were A-1; professional, helpful, patient with my questions and always reachable; I couldn’t have asked for better. Little issues came up, and both Ryan and Jason seemed committed to getting them resolved quickly and the job done well and in a timely fashion; they were there every day, in all kinds of weather, and the project was completed very close to the original time estimate. They left the work site as tidy as possible at the end of the day and always safe. I especially appreciate the time and the care they took to remove a large deck in the rear in such a way that we have been able to reattach it, saving us thousands of dollars over the cost of a new one.

Thank you to Ziad and his team for making this a stress-free process. I am sure no one is ever truly happy with the daunting prospect of having such a major issue happen to their home, but under the circumstances, you and your team certainly gave your best to make it as pleasant as it could be. I finally have peace of mind and will no longer be afraid of the month of April, knowing that I have the driest basement in the neighbourhood! After reviewing two other estimates I chose OFC to repair two cracks in the foundation wall of my home. It was a wise decision. OFC's estimate was very detailed, outlining exactly what was to be done and how. Basically, the work involved removing a window well, manually digging 4' wide x 8' down to the footings in two areas, repairing the cracks, waterproofing the exposed sections of exterior wall, installing new weeping tile hose, refilling the excavations and replacing the window well. The work was completed in two days with no disruption to my life. The workers were happy to answer any questions that occurred to me each time I went outside to see how things were coming along and called me outside to inspect the site before they left. A professional clean-up crew then arrived promptly and restored my yard to its former tidy state. One small detail was overlooked and OFC returned promptly to take care of it when I called. The entire experience was angst-free: Larry Welin's prompt response to my initial inquiry and visit to my home; being kept apprised of when the work would begin, and the positive follow-up by Jason. I would not hesitate to call OFC should I need this type of service again. Their 25-year transferable warranty is a plus.

I was pleased with the foundation work done by Ottawa Foundation Contractors. The job was done methodically with an emphasis on getting the work done properly instead of prioritizing speed. I was able to consult with Ryan and his partner during the entire process and they both listened to my questions and answered them patiently. They also adapted some of the work when necessary to address any concerns that I had. I would recommend OFC for any foundation work.

The job was done well and on budget and the basement was dry afterwards as of the time of this review. Their estimating system was very good - the best I have seen and was completely online.

The work that OFC performed was thorough and quick. The people were professional and neat. After they were done it did not look like any work was done. We are very impressed.
